It's a basic USB 2.0 bracket for making use of the extra USB 2.0 header you most definitely have in that extra expansion slot you most definitely have. This item serves the intended purpose of offering two more USB 2.0 ports, once Windows is loaded and activates all drivers. I made the mistake of assuming to two 9 pin USB connectors at the bottom of my MSI X570S MPG Edge Max WiFi were powered during bios, there not. Just one port on the connector group at edge of the MB and the two connected ports on the top of the case are active in bios. But the USB adapter I purchased is is fine for it’s intended purpose. And a very good value.

From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. These were almost great, but I do not like the way they mount. They are only supported on one side with a screw unlike the covers that these replaced that also had a brace on the other side. This lack of support makes plugging things into the USB port kinda sketchy, since there is a lot of give. Other than the lack of structural support, they function exactly as expected, increasing the number of USB ports for my PC without taking up any PCIE lanes. I am satisfied with the end result, but it is certainly not perfect.
