I have bought three of these and I going on my 3rd year of use. They work wonderfully. They collect the dropped seed from the bird's beek (which has proven to be a lot) and allow you to recycle the seeds back through the feeder. This achieves two objectives: 1) Saves you money on seed and 2) keeps 95% of the seed from accumulating on the ground. In turn, this minimizes or eliminates would be visiting mice or rats. These feeders have held up good as new and are very easy to clean. They come in a variety of colors. I have blue and forest or olive green. I think the price paid for each one is a very fair value because they are durable, stay looking as good as new over time, easy to clean and maintain, easy to hang, keep 95% of the seed off the ground and allow you to recycle the seeds that would normally drop to the ground. I highly recommend them! A++

Bought this for my home in New England because my regular feeder (Yankee D) drops too much seed and is attracting mice. Very well made and the cover does a good job protecting the lower area from rain. This does a great job at catching the hulls, and all the sunflower seeds that the birds seems to pick out. I usually take the reservoir and dump it back in the feeder once or twice and add a bit new seed. There always seems to be a LOT of uneaten black oiled sunflower seeds. This is saving me some money by catching the uneaten seed. Good product.

I love this feeder! It holds a lot and has two separate compartments for different seeds to attract more birds. Its easy to fill and feels like a quality product that's meant to last. It catches at least 90% of the discarded seeds the little buggers don't want. And that feature to me is the best part, because seeds on the ground will attract rodents and I am not a fan of them in my yard. So with that said why would I only give it 4 stars? My old feeders are cheap and minimalistic and don't much distract visually from the birds when I am taking pictures of them. This design as beautiful as it is distracts from the beauty of the birds and the top shades the birds which makes for difficult lighting. That said I've only had this feeder for less than a month and I like all the other features so much that I took down the cheap feeders and plan on purchasing another 2 in the fall. And given time, I am sure I will capture some lovely pictures with this feeder and find that 5th star

Very mixed feelings about this feeder. First off, it works and it works kinda well. Seed/feed will still get to the ground so if you are serious about not feeding the mice then you will have to purchase a seed catcher to go under this feeder. The combination of the two will solve the seed on the ground problem. I wanted to give it 4 stars but the issue is: It is just too small. The seed hoppers could be, SHOULD be 4 to 5 times larger. You will be filling this thing up 3 - 4 times a day and not keep up if you are a true birder. It is well made. I'll give it that for sure. I think the two seed hopper is just a waste. If your paying this price I'd expect a little more thought in to the overall product. It's good but I'd suggest a large tube feeder with a seed catcher below it.

Excellent bird feeder! Highly recommend if rats have become a problem. Our former bird feeder was open mesh and dropped so much birdseed on our deck we became over run with field rats. We bought this one two weeks ago, it was slow at first for the birds to eat from it but they got the hang of it and all of them have been flocking to eat from it. And it does exactly what the description says: No mess and it's been great - zero seeds have fallen on the deck and we have not seen any rats in days! Very happy with purchase!!

While the product was sent very fast, and the quality of the piece is good, the whole idea of the mess going into the tray is a waste. The design is definitely questionable. All the seed that spilled went into the bottom and is wet and mildewed. I didn’t expect I would have to go out and empty the bottom back into the top everyday.

When I took this bird feeder out of the box, I was immediately impressed with its design; but once I used it, I ordered a second one. I have tried many bird feeders in the past, but they resulted in seed spillage on the ground under the feeder. Not only a mess, but bad for my dogs. The design of this feeder allows the seed to fall into an easily removed tray and be put back into the feeder. No waste! Its cover lifts off with no hassle, and the divided see-through funnel is easy to fill. One warning: Without a dome above it, it can be freely accessed by squirrels. (See photo.)

I like this feeder because the birds can’t just rake the seeds onto the ground. It has been hanging 2 weeks and the birds haven’t gotten use to it yet

We have been feeding the birds for many many years and have had lots of different feeders This is the very best we have had I wish we had come across it sooner There isn’t any wasted seeds as the connect in the bottom and no spillage to attract other wildlife We have had many new birds in our garden after they had got used to it It’s very easy to clean it only takes minutes A welcome new addition to our garden looking very smart

Denna fågelmatare öveträffade alla mina förväntningar. Maten I brickan håller sig torr trots regn och snö. Har den I och för sig Ii ett hörn så den är skyddad från två sidor. Fåglarna uppskattar den och marken under är fri från matspill.

Muy útil, no caen los restos de comida por el suelo y está bien protegido contra los roedores. Material de buena calidad.

Klasse Teil! Unser alter Futterspender musste weichen, weil die Vögel zuviel runtergeschmissen haben und die Ratten und Mäuse auf der Erde angelockt wurden. Ich habe mir einen Großvogelschutz aus festem Kunststoff selber gebaut, der ist nämlich leider nicht dabei. Die Kohl und Blaumeisen lieben es schon sehr, die Spatzen trauen dem neuen Gerät noch nicht so richtig- das wird aber sicher noch passieren ;) Vor 2 Tagen aufgehängt- immer noch prall gefüllt. Beim alten musste ich teilweise 2x am Tag nachladen. Die Futterstückchen die noch runterfallen sind nicht der Rede wert. Die Vögel können jetzt ganz entspannt futtern, es hängt sehr stabil und schwankt nur bei starkem Wind. Klare Kaufempfehlung!!

This is the best feeder I’ve tried, catches all the seed they drop. Little pricey but worth it. Solid construction and easy to fill and empty the tray. Also easy to clean.
