28CM SAUTE PAN WITH TOUGHENED GLASS LID and detachable handle

Although the Crafond was hugely expensive, we do lots of sauté-type cooking, so the pan has to be up to heavy demands. We have used it without oil for over a month now in a variety of dishes. It's brilliant. Nor is it as heavy as I suspected. The lid seems substantial, but the top knob is black Bakelite not the chrome that's shown in the photo. The handle clicks on and off easily, without being at all flimsy or shoogly. A great bit of kitchen kit.

We bought this pan along with two larger saucepans a few years back at a stall at a food show. At the show they were cooking eggs and pancakes etc without any oil and everything was just sliding out of the pan. This is not the case! Although it did work well at the start, things soon started sticking to the pan without if not used with oil. It now takes a good bit of oil to fry anything without it sticking. I am making pancakes at the moment and am about to throw the damn thing at the wall, I'm so frustrated with it! I probably would if it didn't weigh a ton! It cost a lot of money and we were made to believe it would be a lifetime investment but I think my patience is over and I'm going to go to the nearest supermarket and buy a simple Teflon pan or similar. Don't buy this!

This is a really high quality pan and well worth spending a little more on a decent pan. I treated myself to one last year and find it so easy to use in so many different ways. I am now buying another one as a gift. The best pan I have ever cooked with and love the way the handle can be removed, so can easily go into oven. I rarely write reviews but felt the Crafond cookware deserved an excellent review. It really is the perfect pan!

This pan looses its non stick ability and when you complain about it they blame you? A lifetime guarantee with this pan means nothing.we never abused our pan yet get blamed when it doesn't work properly. Come on crafond,honour your guarantee.

Bought a second pan as the one i had 5 years ago is still in perfect condition and i wanted another! So easy and versatile to use with removable handle for use in oven. Simple to clean.

Brilliant frier, built like the proverbial outhouse. Great quality feel to it and my fried eggs come out perfectly. The detachable handle can be a little tricky to get on and off...but that's only a minor niggle. Buy.
