Reassuring quality in a disposable world.
20 years ago when we moved to a house with an AGA, I bought a large Woll frying pan. It was expensive even then but still going strong with a flat base and superb nonstick finish. However unable to justify the cost we have never invested in any more Woll products. Consequently we had several small and cheap frying pans but its never long before they either dome or dish, leaving food without contact to the heat.I finally relented and invested in a small Woll frying pan. Getting it out of the box its immediately apparent there has been no degradation in quality in the intervening years that's for sure. Just as sturdy and with the removable handle, handy for popping in the roasting oven of the AGA or putting under the grill of a conventional cooker. Two items of note though, whilst it's 20cm at the top, its quite a bit smaller at the base and not big enough for a fry up, even for one. Secondly the detachable handle is different from the fitting on our original Woll (which is a bit of a shame but that's progress i suppose) but its no less precise in the way it gives a solid (and reassuring) click when being attached.I was in my 30's when the first Woll was purchased and I reckon it will see me out. These really are a one time purchase and whilst they are initially expensive, given the lifespan, they are probably the cheapest kitchen pans you will ever buy.

Best Frying pan we've ever had
This is quite a pricey frying pan, and that and the good reviews I had read persuaded me to part with the money. It is by far the best frying pan we have ever had. It is quite heavy but that ensures an even heat distribution. The non-stick surface is indestructible (as far as I can see) - I don't like using metal tools on non stick surfaces but it does happend from time to time and thie surface on this pan has not taken the least mark from them.Very nice touch is the detachable handle so the pan can be used in the oven (combine it with the glass lid and you have an effective casserole dish)The detachable handle also makes it much easier to put into the dishwasher. No hesitation in recommending this pan - when I consider the number of nasty Teflon pans we have bought and ruined over the years this pan becomes exceptional value and it's a joy to use.

non stick coating has started to degrade - guarantee support nil
Having purchased this pan on 10 Nov 21 as a Christmans present and used it from the New Year onwards we found that the non stick coating has started to degrade per the photo. The Amazon returns deadline was passed in January. I contacted the maker in Germnay, Woll, whose guarantee came with the product, for a replacement and they replied as follows: " In the event of a complaint, you must contact the seller himself. Unfortunately we cannot process any complaints from England. Beste Grüße aus dem Saarland". So looking now at the order in my Amazon account, and the invoice I cannot see who to contact in the UK, other than by hard copy mail to Amazon EU Sarl at a postcode in London EC2A 2FA.GB. I assume they will refer us back to Woll in Germany.

Quality pan but note non-stick guarantee
I’ve owned 2 Woll Nowo larger fry/sauté pans In last 8 years so I know what to expect with this 8” one. They are reassuringly weighty, cook evenly as do not warp and removable handle means they are oven safe. However, I was disappointed that my original pan had to be replaced after 4 years due to ‘bubbles’ on the nonstick surface and everything sticking despite the lifetime guarantee widely advertised. On reading the small print in my latest guarantee it seems pan body has long guarantee but the non-stick surface only guaranteed for 2 years! Hmmm ....... At £65 (pan plus lid) for an 8” frypan it is expensive! They do cook beautifully with little or no oil so I would still recommend them.

Great quality, truly non-stick, easy to clean, long lasting!
Great frying pan, looks and feels like good quality. Like the fact that the handle detaches. One needs to give it a few minutes to warm up, but once it is warm, it works like a charm. Yes, it is heavy but I like the substantial feel of it. And it is super easy to clean. Also, it is truly non-stick. I know the instructions mention that it is dishwasher safe, but so far I have hand washed it as it is so easy to clean. Definitely worth the price. Very pleased I bought it!

Returning customer
The first Woll frying pan that I bought lasted me nearly 20 years of fairly heavy use, and was only replaced thro' my own neglect when the base was stored for a long time in damp conditions. I had no hesitation in replacing with the same brand.I now have 2, the 24 cm & larger frypan. The well made detachable handles are great, both for storage & grilling or oven use, and fix securely and easily.I really cannot fault them, excellent cooking, easy to clean, weighty enough without needing hefty muscle power to move around & lift. They are the most versatile & often used pans in my kitchen.Worth the price tag for their life expectancy. This pan was delivered in quick time & after shopping around, was great value for money.

These pans are great when new
These pans are great when new. However, after about 2 years use (1-2 times per week at most) and following Woll's care instructions to the letter, I no longer feel safe using them. The coating is coming away from the inside of the pans. For the price, they are not worth it. I wouldn't buy one of these again. My old set of non-Woll frying pans are several years old and considerably better (as new condition) but aren't compatible with an induction hob. They get used on the bbq side burner these days and are still much better than Woll's.'Vorsprung durch Technik'? I don't think so.

Great ‘used like new’ item.
The Quality. ...only used it today but it’s quality is unmistakable. It is sturdy and ‘very’ non-stick. Needs only a wipe with a lightly- soaped cloth to come up pristine. Bought it ‘Used in ‘New’ condition. Arrived in an Amazon box. ...that was as far as the used state got. The ‘used’ pan was a new pan in the original bag. I shall be looking closely for ‘used like new’ items on Amazon in future.Used it for realm in the oven today to make a party Tortilla. Fantastic. Performed brilliantl

Hands-down the best pan I've ever used.
I've used a lot of non-stick pans over the years, and sooner or later they've eventually started sticking or flaking off Teflon coatings. Generally I'd gotten cheaper pans and put up with the flaking into my food.I researched pans a bunch on Amazon back in 2009, and decided to swing for some higher-end cookware, hoping that it meant durability would be better. After about two years of use, our All-Clad Master Chef 2 Nonstick 10-Inch Fry Pan started flaking on the top edge despite being fanatically careful about making sure it didn't get too hot, not using metal utensils anywhere near it, using any sort of abrasive pad washing it, or even washing it before the pan had cooled down. This correlated with the reviews I'd read, and the replacement process sounded like I'd be out of a pan for weeks, plus I wanted to get away from PFOE coatings. We next bought a Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 10-1/4-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle, Red, which became our go-to pan, but despite all of the reviews swearing they were great for eggs, I've generally had to make an intended omelet into scrambled eggs because of sticking (even if I used a generous portion of butter or olive oil).I started searching for PFOE-free pans after once again making a scramble, and stumbled across the Woll Nowo. The thing is bombproof. Titanium is awesome. Metal utensils is no biggie. It's a little slow to heat but like the Le Creuset, once it gets going it retains heat incredibly well. The pan cooks more evenly than the All-Clad. The detachable handle comes off easily, and can be put back on easily. I've cooked frittatas with it on the stovetop and then finished it in the oven, and it's all an easy motion. Be a little careful as the base of the handle can get pretty toasty after cooking for awhile.Eggs never, ever stick. You can use less oil/butter/you name it, as nothing I've cooked in the last 2 months has managed to stick to it. Stuff I thought of as tricky is now cake. Omelets are a snap. This last weekend I made crepes in them, never needed butter or oil to coat the pan.And given that the pan right now is almost $20 cheaper than the All-Clad, I feel silly for having put out more for something less durable.

The frying pan works great.
The frying pan works great.By the way if you happen to use an induction stovetop you just need a thin adapter for pans that don’t use an induction stovetop. They work great. You can order them on Amazon as well. For this pan get the 8 inch adaptor :) an adapter worked well for me.
