Stuck in Cยฐ and app logs out frequently.
This is my second SmartLife device. My first was the multifunction alarm. That alarm worked great, but this thermometer feels like a cheap junky piece of plastic and I have doubts about its accuracy. The worst part is I get logged out of the app a lot and my thermometer is stuck in Celsius. This is pretty frustrating. *update : this thermometer is over 4 degrees off from my other thermometers in the room, you can only calibrate it + or - 2ยฐ in the app which makes this useless for real time tracking and triggering other devices.

Works with Home Assistant! Cheapest temp/humidity WIFI sensor you can buy!
Love these! Inexpensive and really easy to configure in the app and they also work with Home Assistant with the Tuya integration. Cheap enough that you can have them everywhere. I use them to monitor my house temps when I'm away. They come with 2xAAA batteries that will last a little longer than a year. Out of the box, install the SmartLife app on your mobile device, then connect your mobile to whatever WIFI network you want the sensor to be connected to. Do this prior to installing the batteries in the sensor. If you're running a WIFI network just for smart devices and want this device connected to that network, you need to put your mobile device on that network first. That is the network the app will register the device to. Once that is done, go into the app, hit add device, then install the batteries and it should pop right up in the app to be added and named. The sensor only stays in pairing mode for a minute or so once the batteries are installed, so you need to be ready with the app. If the sensor can't be found, reboot by removing and reinstalling the batteries to put it back into pairing mode. Note that in the mobile app, once you change the preference from degrees "C" to "F", it will take about 24 hours for the change to take effect. This only affects the mobile app and not Home Assistant.

challenging setup, i liked them at first. HORRIBLE battery life until rechargeable NIMH batteries!
recently purchased these to monitor temp and humidity in two rooms of my home. very small and sleek look, they even include double sided tape to mount the sensor. app is ok, but could be better. these run on 2.4GHZ networks only. took several attempts to get them to connect, but once connected, haven't had any issues. by default it displays Celsius and Not Fahrenheit. I really wish all products marketed to the united states would just do away with Celsius.. it's really useless unless your outside of the united states. sensors run on TWO AAA batteries. looking forward to seeing how long the batteries last. you can even set up alarms for certain thresholds. time will tell. sensors were cheap enough, so we will see. update 10/22/24** i have a total of 3 of these, all work perfectly, however one sensor seems to constantly give me low battery warnings after about 5 weeks or so, i suspect that the sensor may be bad, but i just ignore the warning and i will replace batteries when it finally stops working. other than this slight drawback, it still reports the temprature perfectly. update 12-22-24**these work well, but are battery hogs, seems like the most i can get out of the batteries is give or take 2 months, really disappointed with the battery life. they are accurate and i can access when not at home (via wifi) but the battery life leaves alot to be desired. HORRIBLE battery life- i would really avoid these sensors. they just simply go through batteries too faast. update 5/14/25*** out of curiosity, i decided to get some NIMH rechargeable AAA batteries, i got a set from walmart (rayovac) and a set of amazon basics brand. Happy to report that on average, these batteries last 32 days when fully charged! i was lucky to get 2 weeks out of the non rechargeable batteries, so if your thinking of tossing these sensors, just get yourself some good NIMH rechargeables. it saves alot of money, and these sensors work very well, i was about to throw them away until i tried the rechargeable batteries, so all is well now. give it a shot, you will be suprised.

Works Great for Me
Ordered this to keep in my office, so I can see the temperature and humidity when Iโm not there. I have machinery that is delicate. This little device works good for me. So cheap I would just buy another if it stopped. Going on 8 months and the battery just now says low. Keep in mind, wherever you are going to leave this thermometer, there needs to be 24/7 WiFi. I thought it was easy to set up and the app is straightforward, but if youโre not tech savvy it may be challenging. There is also a delay in communication usually 1-2 hours behind the current hour of when the thermometer readings update in the app.

After one year they no longer work
I bought two and they worked great. After about 1 year the batteries died and when I went to replace them with new batteries I could not get them to program. After pressing the reset button near the battery the light stays on steady and doesnโt blink as instructed. They are no longer being used unless I can figure them out

Worth the Money
I donโt usually write reviews, but this one is worth sharing. I ordered these for my place of business, which is a boarding kennel, to monitor the temperature in different areas of the facility. They work very well and allow me to set high and low temperature alerts, which is extremely helpful. They integrate easily with the Tuya (T-U-Y-A) app, and I havenโt had any issues so far. Battery life has also been excellent. Overall, theyโve been reliable and effective for my needs.

Used Product - Clearly a return that had been used and was sticky
I knew the product was a return when I opened it and saw the LPN sticker on the back. I figured it was OK, possibly an unused return. It was not OK. The units were all unpackaged and had a thin film like goo on them, I found out why later on. I didn't want to go through the trouble of returning and reordering so I cleaned them and tried to set them up. Setting up was a giant chore, the red light wouldn't really blink as much as stutter for a second and then stay solid. I went to the internet and found that meant the batteries were probably low. (So the batteries that came with it had been used enough that they wouldn't provide enough power to set them up). I used my own new batteries and got them set up BUT, they were already named "Bee Hive Sensor X". The goo on them was from them being used in beehives. In the end.. gross, used temp sensors that I had to clean to be able to use, had to reprogram them from their previous setups and batteries not included. One thing in their favor is that after being cleaned enough to be usable they are accurate in their reading. Had I known what I would have to go through with these I would have never ordered. I will need more sensors and will order another brand next time.
