Review: Lots of Fun Recipes! Eat your way across the Multiverse! - I was very excited to purchase this cookbook, as I have the previous Heroes' Feast and enjoy it's recipes. This book is by far better. The recipes are layed out in a MUCH more efficient manner, and make better use of all of the space on the pages. The cooks notes are helpful and thoughtful for the cook and the person eating the creation. Lots of gorgeous photos for many of the recipes, but not a photo for everything. You will have to decipher the looks of some things on your own. I would also say that this is a more eclectic collection of recipes within the pages. Heroes' Feast, the previous book, was a lot of familiar things renamed cleverly. This book seems to take you on a bit more of a culinary adventure. There is a lot of flavor/story elements sprinkled throughout the book. All of the art for these are very nice. But if I had my way, I would have a bit less of the narrative and a few more recipes. I don't mind the narrative and I don't mind the little preface to set the scene before each recipe, but I will always be more interested in recipes over story bits in a cookbook. After looking through the Heroes' Feast Multiverse contents I settled on trying out the Fey Fritters from the Feywild section, for the first/test recipe. These turned out to be quite lovely. as they are a sort of pea puree based latke/pancake. I will certainly be making these again, as well as other delights. If you are a D&D enthusiast, and if you like to cook, this one is a fun addition to your Dragon's horde of kitchen items. Eat your way across the Multiverse! Review: Cute book with great recipes - First, let's face it, this book is CUTE. I'm not a D&D player, though I am familiar with some of the book series that this cookbook references. But they put a LOT of money into making this book visually appealing, both from the food standpoint and the D&D background. More to the point, it is full of recipes that you feel you just HAVE to try. This one goes on my keeper cookbook shelf. Even my husband enjoyed leafing through it. (And he keeps asking me when I'm going to try to make the traveler's stew.)

There are no beards in the recipes
Those Green Dragon Blackbread Muffins were the bomb, but I have to be honest: when I first read the recipe, I thought it was gross in my mind because I misread the title. I thought it said Green Dragon Blackbeard Muffins. My immediate thought was, where were you going to get that specific ingredient, and why would you eat muffins with someone's beard in it? Getting a green dragon is no problem, and I wouldn't mind trying some green dragon, but I'm not eating some random dude's beard.

Well worth getting both books in the set.
Bought it as a gift. I love the illustrations in it and the way that the book is set up with store lines and recipes.

Good look, good recipes, too much flavor text
The recipes are good, the book art is high quality. I’m excited to cook all of this! However, I bought this book on sale and tbh I would have been disappointed if I’d paid full price. Numerous pages are taken up by a framing story that I have zero interest in reading, and I can’t help feel like they could’ve been better served by either making the book smaller and cheaper by leaving the framing story out, or using those pages to put more recipes in. Maybe just my personal preference, but it has big “please read about my life story and my magical journey at the farmer’s market” energy when I’m really just here for the recipes.

Christmas present for a Dungeons and Dragons fan.
My son, who is married with several children, loves to cook. He's also a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons. He asked for this cookbook for Christmas. He was delighted with it.

👍🏻👍🏻
This was a gift for my Husbands best friend. Was an absolute hit, they host DND parties all the time. So this allowed him to try new recipes geared toward their experience. Some were absolutely tasty. Got a dnd fan, they like to cook. This is a great addition to anyone’s day

Friendly meals for all diets that look sooo goood!!!!
Damn. Everything looks so good, maybe even better than the first one somehow! And plenty of fish recipes if you’ve got pescatarian friends like we do, if you just like fish! I can’t wait to make all of these! Looking forward to seeing if there will be another!
