Are the sockets raised or flat?

Slightly raised, but with concave edges! They look great and I'm buying more soon for my new kitchen.

Do these require wiring in, or can you just unscrew the existing plates and put these in there place?

You can just replace the existing ones but of course have to remove the existing wires from the old ones and attach them to the new ones. Not difficult with power switched off.

What are the exact sizes of the socket please
