Le Creuset stainless steel kettle: Update - whistle dead!
Update: The whistle stopped working after a month. I expected better from Le Creuset. The Le Creuset stainless steel kettle is a top-notch, heavy-duty product that stands out from cheaper alternatives. Its compact size is perfect for keeping on the stove all the time, making it both practical and durable. The stainless-steel construction, both inside and out, ensures longevity and easy maintenance, with no ceramic materials involved—a feature that we prefer. Design and Build Quality- The kettle's compact design allows it to remain a permanent fixture on the stove without taking up too much space. The use of stainless steel for both the interior and exterior not only adds to its aesthetics and durability but also makes it easy to clean. Unlike ceramic kettles, this one does not require the delicate handling that ceramic materials often need. Durability- The robust stainless-steel construction means that this kettle is built to last. It is designed to withstand frequent use and is resistant to the typical wear and tear that comes with boiling water repeatedly. Additionally, it comes with a five-year warranty, further underscoring its long-term reliability. Practicality- Handle and Heat- The downside to any kettle is that the handle can get hot. Do not use this kettle on an oversized burner. The flames should not go beyond the base of the kettle. Do not let any kettle boil dry. It will permanently damage the kettle. Maintenance- To maintain the kettle’s quality, it is important to follow the instructions to drain it after each use. This practice helps to prevent scaling or rust, which are common issues with kettles if water is left inside. Conclusion- Overall, the Le Creuset stainless steel kettle’s solid construction and practical features make it a smart choice for anyone seeking a long-lasting kettle. Its combination of durability, easy maintenance, and a reliable whistle system ensures that it will serve well for many years beyond the warranty period. For those looking for a high-quality, reliable kettle, this product is an excellent investment.

A perfect tea kettle
I love so many things about this kettle. 1. It’s pretty and is a lovely addition to my kitchen aesthetic. 2. I like the sound of the whistle 3. It’s easy to clean 4. The handle stays cool so it’s easy to pour. 5. The size is just right for me and my company - serves 6 easily. What I wish was different- I wish it had a mechanism to access pour spout from the handle. It’s separate so you have to open the pour spout with your finger. Not so bad, bc the pour spout stays cool as well. One thing to be careful with- wait a few seconds before you pour the water out. Water has a tendency to sputter from the spout, at times. Can splash you, if you aren’t careful. For me, this is just normal tea kettle activity!

The perfect teapot. I recommend it.
I’m enjoying my new teapot. The color is beautiful, the whistle works as it should, and the water comes to a boil quickly.

Le crappet
Disgusted. This is beautiful to look at…when it’s brand new. Would make a great showpiece for those who do not use it. However, it is poorly designed. The outside enamel began to wear off after only a few uses, the spouts spills instead of pours, and the company inexplicably mounted labels on the outside of kettle.

Great, but with some deisgn and quality control issues
The good the bad and the ugly. The good: It's lovely. Matches my other Le Creuset and is close enough to my Lodge, all in red or Cherise. It's sturdy, no flaws in the coating or anything that I think could cause problems like rusting. Pouring is drip free. I've seen issues in reviews, but I think this is the newer model. Generously sized. Bigger than I expected for 1.7 qt. The bad: The handle is tall enough that pouring is awkward. The stickers were attached with remarkably stubborn adhesive. I had to soak them for a while in hot soapy water to get them off. The Ugly: The whistle assembly is attached crooked. Seriously for a kettle at this price point, that is just plain unacceptable. Points to possible quality control issues that I would never expect from the Made in France cast iron from the same company I've been using for 20 years. It would be 5 star if it was cheap chinese crap, but this is a pricey unit. It should never have left the factory with a crooked whistle spout. So one star off. It works great, looks good, and I've already used it a bunch. I really want to give it a 5 star, but I just can't.

The only kettle you will ever need!
Worth every penny spent. The kettle in our house is used multiple times daily and this one is so well made I can tell it will last for years. The base and sides are continuous so no leaking seams. The handle is a true "stay cool" material so no potholder needed even when the water is boiling. The whistle mechanism is simple with no pieces to fall out and can easily be switched to no-whistle mode with the flick of a thumb. The finish is lovely and seems to be chip-resistant so far. If you want a hard use kettle this is the one for you.
