I really liked this light. It seems well built and it is bright. I liked the LED that pointed down at the ground. It is easy to swap between bikes using the mount. The flash mode could be a pace quicker, but that's a small quibble. I liked too the USB-C charging, which made post ride recharges simple. However after 1 year of semi-regular use (probably <100 rides) it stopped working. Appears to charge, but it will not turn on. As built, it does not appear to be serviceable. In my mind, this was an expensive light, so expected a bit more than 1 years use. Update: After posting, I realized that the light was just over a year old and has a two year warranty. MagicShine warrantied the light with little hassle. I updated from 3 stars to 5 stars.

This little rocket is amazing. I especially like the red glow behind the bike's rear tire. More importantly, if you are riding in Oregon, you can see this light in California. No joke this is one of the best rear lights I have seen in some time. No I don't need a remote control or activation by app or any of that. I just want to be seen and not blind other riders or drivers. Plenty of lightning options, long run time, and while it is a little spendy, you get a light that's going to last longer than you.

This is the best rear bike light I’ve ever used. The light is bright and easy to see, the “under globe” make it so the light shines on the ground and around your bike as well. I always used to get nervous with the popular bar style lights because I couldn’t always tell if they were on, not the case with this light. It also came with a special mount that clips and zip-ties to the underside of the saddle, then has a nice cam-lock kind of feature that attaches the light securely. Very cool, strong recommend.

Update 01 DEC 2025: Much to my surprise, Magicshine reached out and offered my money back. Well, the light “works” but I had to create a custom mount. Instead, I asked for another light as I need another bright tail light. Now I have two and am building another custom bracket. The light is that good, I don’t mind spending time making it work. It’s your call. If you have to mount the light anywhere other than the seatpost, you will have to get creative (added photos for reference). See my original review below for details. I’m adding a star back due to customer support. Oh, Magicshine claims to be working on better mounts, and I believe them after seeing their new Hori 1300 light with a Garmin mount. Hope this helps. ————————————————————— First, the good: Brightest tail light I own, and I’ve owned many. Great side and rear visibility day and night. Great battery life. Near perfect design. The bad: The mount really ruins this fabulous light. Why? Because it only mounts to the bike seat or seat post, and it does so in a flimsy, non-standard way. In other words you cannot mount this light on a rack or vertical bike part…Only angled seat tubes. Who on Earth made this design choice? Every other light I own easily adjusts to anything, allowing mounting to a rack, pack, rear triangle, seat post, helmet, etc. The good lights feature adjustments to aim the light so cars can see it. With a non-adjustable angle built into the mount, the light either angles up towards the sky or down to the road if mounted on anything other than the seat post. No amount of brightness makes up for a misaligned light. Worse yet, if you ride with a trunk bag, you can’t use a seat light because your bag blocks the light. Magicshine gives you zero options for any other mounting options, so you either get creative or return the light. Also, all my other lights have a secure quick release design that is trustworthy. This quick mount just doesn’t inspire confidence. Why not use a standard Garmin or Planet Bike Superflash mounting design??? Ugh. Magic shine, you were so close to perfection…but the mount is such a weak point. Me? I had to make a custom mount with glue and plastic since there is zero vertical adjustability. I shouldn’t have to engineer a solution because Magicshine’s designers couldn’t get it right. The light is too expensive to justify such a brain-dead, inflexible mount. It’s your call. If you ride with just spandex on your bike, this light will work on your seat post. Anything else may block or mis-aim the light, and no amount of lumens can correct for this. Light = perfection Mount = disaster

This rear light is amazing. I purchased it after reading an article on the best bike tail lights and this was an overall favorite due to it's price and unique light projection. I've used it almost daily for over a year. Then, a few weeks ago the twist mount broke. I contacted MagicShine and they had a new one to me in just a few days. Now that's customer service!

I like the brightness of the light and it is easy to install on the seatpost. My only complaint is the instructions are a little confusing. The battery lasts for several hours, I don't know exactly how long it lasts in slow flash mode because I charge it for each ride.

The MagicShine SEEMEE 300/400 bike Taillight is absolutely brilliant. It mounts easily and securely with the optional MJ-6556 Saddle Mount, and it removes just as easily for safekeeping. I love the optional displays. I prefer the slow flash that leaves the light illuminated between bright pulses. I particularly like the downward-pointing light at the bottom that illuminates the back of the bike and ground in red - hard for even the most inattentive motorist to miss. Rechargeable battery is strong, and the weight is reasonable for its small size and strength. I've used a lot of portable bike tail lights - this one is the winner.

The SEEMEE 300 is a capable and bright light with multiple functions and outstanding battery life. I have other high-quality lights (NiteRider) and this one rates as well as those, with the caveat being that this light is quite bulky, but with the kind of battery life it packs, I can't complain. It's not like I'm a professional racer who's shaving off grams of weight from my bike for competitiveness. So, a little bigger light isn't too big of a deal, it's not distracting and it doesn't really compromise aerodynamics (again, see sentence about NOT being a pro racer). The price of the light is competitive with upper-end brands, and I'm a firm believer of "You get what you pay for...". I'm quite happy with this light, and again the battery life is proving to be spectacular! I've owned it for over a week and after its initial charging, and 90 to 130 minute bike rides 6 days a week, it's not showing any need of recharging. Though after today's ride, I suppose I will just because I have to charge my headlight and head unit anyhow. Color me impressed. With multiple pattern flashes and settings, this tail light is suited for 99% of the riders out there who care about being seen by others and by drivers. I would purchase this light again if I needed to, very much worth the cost! Five stars.

I purchased this product and was very happy with it. Unfortunately, after three months it developed a fault. The customer service team particularly Hannah were excellent at resolving the problem and replace the item within a matter of days. Used this for the first time a few days ago and it worked well. However after my ride yesterday in heavy fog and a bit of rain it has completely stopped working. Can't say if it was weather related or something else. It's supposed to be water resistant and certainly should be useable in wet weather. What a waste of money.

I contacted their customer service because my tail light (SEEMEE 300) had an issue. Their response was incredibly quick and helpful. Hannah, the support representative, guided me through the troubleshooting process and arranged a replacement promptly when the issue was confirmed.
