Great value for your money
I purchased a new computer and it only came with a single 1TB SSD.. Considering I'm a massive gamer I knew immediately it was going to be an issue.. I settled on an External drive with a fair bit of memory 8 TB's and that filled my needs for a while, but I noticed that some games had stuttering and lag, which considering the specs on my system shouldn't have been happening.. RTX4090, 64 GB of ram, etc etc etc etc.. So I narrowed down the likely causes to the External HDD, so I knew I needed to remedy that situation asap.. After searching around I settled on the Crucial T700,, highly rated, and reviewed.. The price is hefty but gaming isn't a cheap hobby, if you want to play like a pro, you gotta pay like a pro.. The install was super easy, plug and play pretty much, the only issue arose from trying to format the drive for use.. after a half hour and numerous youtube videos I discovered that I had forgotten to name the drive, after feeling like an idiot, I had my harddrive installed and ready to roll.. Download speeds have never been faster, I've always had issues with steam download times, normally stuff that my internet speeds should have done in minutes would take an hour or more, with the Crucial it's down to taking minutes again.. I honestly couldn't be happier with this product.. If had another slot on my board I'd pick up another and never have to worry about uninstalling and installing games again.. Extremely happy with this purchase..

This thing is solid... and fast!
This is blazing fast if your motherboard supports PCI 5.0. A couple things to keep in mind, it has it's own heatsink. I think you probably can remove it and use your own but from what I read it is a good one and does the job, so I just used the built in one. At first I had some issues getting it to sit properly on my motherboard and then realized there was a layer of compound on the back of it, which this has one built in, so once I removed that it was fine. The only negative issue I have had is that I can't get the crucial software to set the over provisioning. It keeps telling me to do it manually in drive manager. I think it is worth the price, it is fast, but keep in mind on real world experience, if you already have an m.2 you are likely not to notice a ton of difference unless you are copying a large file, normal day to day use is similar, actually my Sabarent Rocket 4 had better random read write speeds. I posted that benchmark also. But if you want the latest cutting edge and fastest... this is your drive. I also used the EaseUS Partition Master to clone my windows 11 os with zero issues. Worked perfectly, entire system cloned in about 9 minutes. I can't recommend that software enough...

Blistering Gen5 SpeedsโThe Definitive Drive for High-End Gaming and Productivity
After my previous primary drive unexpectedly failed, I decided to go all-in on a top-tier replacement that could actually keep up with my new PC build. I picked up the Crucial T700 2TB with the integrated heatsink for around $320, and the performance jump has been nothing short of staggering. Performance and Speed If you have a motherboard that supports PCIe 5.0, this drive is a literal game-changer. I ran a few benchmarks and hit the advertised 12,400 MB/s read and 11,800 MB/s write speeds almost exactly. In real-world use, this means Windows 11 boots in seconds, and massive game files or 4K video projects load nearly instantaneously. Itโs significantly faster than my old Gen4 drive, especially when it comes to handling large data transfers and heavy multitasking. Thermal Management Gen5 drives are known for running hot, so I was a bit worried about thermal throttling. However, the premium aluminum and nickel-plated copper heatsink on this model is incredibly effective. Even during sustained heavy writes, the temperatures stayed well within the safe rangeโpeaking around 65ยฐC in my well-ventilated case. Itโs a beefy heatsink, but it fits perfectly and looks great on the motherboard. Reliability and DirectStorage One of the main reasons I went with Crucial is their reputation for reliability and the inclusion of Microsoft DirectStorage support. For gaming, the asset loading is seamless, and Iโve noticed a major reduction in stuttering in open-world titles. The TLC NAND and the 5-year warranty give me the peace of mind I was missing after my last drive died. Final Verdict While the price point is higher than your standard SSD, you truly get what you pay for in terms of cutting-edge technology. Itโs the fastest storage Iโve ever used, and the build quality is top-notch. If youโre building a high-performance rig and want the fastest speeds currently available on the market, this is the drive to get.

Rock-Solid Performance with Sleek Design โ A Perfect 5-Star Buy!
Absolutely love this product! The quality is top-notch, and it feels like itโs built to last. Itโs proven extremely reliable so far, running smoothly without any hiccups. It also looks greatโsleek and well-designed, definitely a nice addition to my setup. I've experienced a zero crash rate, which is impressive and speaks to the stability of the product. Every function works exactly as expected, and it delivers on all its promises. Best of all, the installation was a breezeโsuper straightforward with clear instructions. Easily a 5-star purchase!

Loving this, Very fast!
Replaced an SSD that was giving me errors and acting weird after a Intel's killer network software kept randomly crashing my computer. Got some hardware testing software to confirm and wanted to replace before things got worse. I was able to clone the drive using PC cloning software to transfer my operating system, files and settings, beware for hardware cloners, they are good for connecting to your PC using USB but they might cap the space on the new drive to the same space as the old drive. Anyways windows 11 loads a little faster than my old SSD, talking more things opening a few seconds earlier and gaming is amazing on this. My old drive was an Samsung SSD with around half the speed. Files transfers seem to be a lot faster as well, I set all my draw distances and settings to max and usually no hickups with game loading. Today I played GTA 4, the game loaded in about 20-30 seconds, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Significant Upgrade over T500 in all categories (MSI MEG Z790 Ace)
I had an unexpected sale and got a T500 for a cheap rate, a 1TB model. Notably, I hadn't yet turned on over-provisioning so these numbers are fairly raw with the apr08 firmware. Nearly double the speed increase on Sequential Reads/writes. ~56% increase in the Q1T1 test Fairly modest gains in the random tests (though nearly 200MB improvement on Q32T1) This drive for me is primarily for my sampled instruments in a Digital Audio Workstation environment where one instrument might be 1GB and being able to swap presets quickly is a must. I will say that my initial test (per-overprovisioning) of the t700 didn't look anywhere near as stellar, but I no longer have that result. Installation was easy, however it would NOT fit in my motherboard without removing the heatsink. MSI provides instructions at removing the rubber rings etc, but even after that it just raised up too high. The motherboard heat sinks seem to do just fine, so I'm not worried. My #1 complaint being that the Crucial Storage Executive has recently become terribly, rediculously slow. (Can take 3min to load the dashboard from a cold start) And firmware update operations are also similarly slow AF. I ding it a bit here because I'm not 100% sure that the drive is worth the price bump over the T500. I got my T500 1TB on sale for a little over a hundred, though the 2TB model was ~$219 so I guess the price at the time of writing is expensive and possibly worth it, I just don't know that everyone has a use case for it. If you're doing alot of music and video editing, I can see how this would save ALOT of time loading up new projects or clips however. Think carefully about how much static data you're actually loading--most games ever made probably don't need this kind of speed. However that may change once PCIE5 becomes more common. So this is really a niche drive product IMHO.

great speeds
excellent drive that runs well with excellent speeds. doesnt run excessively hot which is helped by the provided heat sink.

Fast but beware of thermal paste application
Quick drive, mine thermal throttled a lot with the stock heatsink. Replaced with a new one and turns out they'd misplaced the thermal paste so it wasn't in contact with the chips on the pcb so if there is very high temperatures at idle check the thermal paste

Corsair T700 4TB PCIE5 NVME M.2
Blazingly fast drive. Got transfers up to 1.5GB/sec. However, not sure how robust the chips are. Drive lasted for about 2-3 hours before something failed and it died. Kept giving Windows hardware error and a cold restart would start it again, only to get the Windows hardware error. Maybe give the technology another 6 months to mature before buying.

Very fast M.2 drive!
Installed this drive into a Gen 5 slot on my motherboard and saw a 40% higher score than my Gen 4 drive. The included heat sink is big but didn't inhibit installation. It did a good job of keeping the drive "cool" under load. Gen5 drives run much hotter than Gen 4. At rest my drive was 54C and under stress it was 65C. Very happy with my purchase.
