remote control doesn't work, the treadmill was on, but the remote didn't work so the treadmill couldn't not start. Battery was in, correctly inserted

The machine has to be paired with the remote. The seller will instruct you how to do that

Does this walking pad have a slip resistance?

Thanks for your question! The walking pad treadmill has 5 layers of the non-slip running belt which provide cushioning for knee joints.

Is there a way to stop the squeaking and creaking when using this? It is beyond obnoxious.

Mine creaked like crazy too and I was very disappointed but then I followed the advice of someone who answered this question and it doesn't creak anymore! You need to loosen the two screws that are in the back of the treadmill, on each side. You use the allen wrench that they provided for this. Once I did that it stopped creaking. Whew!

tread will not stay aligned, keeps shifting to left side causing squealing after about 3 mins after realigning manually by pushing the belt. Fixes?
