McFarlane Toys - DC Multiverse Carapax (Blue Beetle Movie) Mega Figure

I was only mildly entertained by the Blue Beetle movie but the figures looked amazing. I caved and bought this one at a low price. The articulation could be better but the sculpt is top notch! It looks awesome on my shelf!

The movie was mostly panned, but I liked it. This version of Carapax is more Japanese mecha than the original comic book design. If you can get it at a good price you can just admire the design. I am intrigued about the use of softer plastic for the chest piece. This design is also used in the Blue Beetle figure and some Figma manikins. Cool how the engineering of these toys is advancing.

Never knew who Carapax really was til I watched the Blue Beetle. Carapax really grew on me so when I saw that his figure went on a large sale I had to buy it! For a Mega Figure size, I’d say that he is a little smaller than the average Mega size. He lacks weapon accessories. Besides that he’s awesome looking, great detailing, has great possibility, and he looks great next to blue beetle. Highly recommend

I only got this guy to have posed against blue beetle but I gotta admit, I'm very impressed by him as a standalone figure. Lots of articulation in the arms and legs that make him great for posing. Well worth the money and a dang good megafig.

When I saw the Blue Beetle I fell in love with Carapax as a character. He actually made me cry by the time I was done watching the film. I knew I wanted to get an action figure of him after I saw the film. This figure was one of the first, and one of the best options I found. When he came in, I was surprised by just how big he and his box were. Some of his joints were rather stiff at first, but once I started moving them some, they loosened up. He looks really nice overall. My only major complaint is that I wish he came with more accessories, such as blasters or an unmasked head. Overall I think he is a pretty good figure, that looks accurate to his source material. I do think he is a bit overpriced though, given his lack of accessories. I would highly recommend him, so long as you can find him on sale.

My son got this for his seventh birthday, because he’s obsessed with the blue beetle movie. It’s one of his favorite superheroes, and he really wanted this guy who apparently is the bad guy from that movie? This toy is humongous. I don’t know how big I thought it was gonna be, maybe like 12 inches like his other superheroes, but it’s huge. The box is huge. The toy is huge, and it comes with its own little stand, overall I believe that this was a wonderful Deal and my son love love love love loves this toy.

I purchased this toy for my son and it is amazing quality. It is heavy, durable and not easy to break. So if you have a destructive boy like I do this toy is going to hold up!!
