New Balance Walking Shoe MW759 11 DUS
I'm going short on 5 stars and only giving 4 as I am not convinced they deserve more yet. Got these about 4 days ago after reading others comments on size and fit of all the New Balance shoes. Everyone was right about them being smaller. I usually get 10 1/2 M, but due to the comments, I got the 11 D. Glad I did. They do fit but are pretty slim for a D width. Used to be New Balance was noted for their generous room, not so with these Chinese models. This is one case where I would pay the extra for them to take one step back to their other manufactures. The brown with dark brown/orange/black trim do look good and I've had several comments on that. And I suspect NB will start selling more of these. They are fairly comfortable and I've been taking some time breaking them in as one of the soles was really stiff and board like. But it has loosened up some with use. The ankle padding and tongue are adequate without getting in the way of function. The laces are flat and I like the way they stay tied. They certainly beat the round ones they had for a while.I've been a fan of NB for quite a few years, hopefully this one will continue the heritage. If you order be sure to order at least an extra half size larger and maybe even a little wider to avoid the exchange thing.Added Dec 28, 2012I've been wearing these for a few months now and I must say that since break in, these have been very comfortable to walk in. And I've changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars. I'm definitely ordering another pair of these come April.

Great shoes - but a slight quality problem
I have been a New Balance customer for a long time. They are one of the few shoe companies that truly have products for those of us with wider feet.I had a previous model of this shoe and absolutely loved them. I still wear them for projects around the house, but the overall support has broken down enough that they are not longer adequate for daily wear. That model is not longer made, so I selected the MW759 as my next pair.Pros:* These fit exactly as I expected. not too tight or short. They are a bit tighter than the prior model, but that is more design than sizing issue* Very comfortable - I continue to be pleased with the comfort the Walking shoe line provides. I often wear them 12+ hours a day and do considerable walking at times. No sore feet or fatigue.* Good looks - This is an opinion I realize, but I can get away with wearing these while wearing slightly nicer work clothes. I can quite feel comfortable doing that with white "tennis" shoes.Cons:- After three days, on the left shoe, the cloth "eyelet" broke free on one end. The second to top eyelet (top being closest to your shin) is a cloth loop which the shoelace threads thru. This broke free. I tried to go a week without it but I could not get the lacing to work right and the shoe was not going to work. I debated on returning it, but decided to try and repair it. Fortunately I was able to and it works great again. So, other than a quality issue that nearly lead me to return them for a replacement, I am very pleased with these shoes and would recommend them.

I have no complaints!
This Country Walking shoe quality is no different than the pair I am now going to use for lawn mowing and other chores. That pair has lasted me for several years...the tread wore down, but the support and cradling of the foot remains firm and comfortable.I always order size 9-4E when getting New Balance. This size easily accommodates my full orthotic inserts along with the New Balance insert which comes with the shoe. But some other shoe brands 8.5 size fit my foot as well...so maybe New balance is a half size large, or the others a half size small.Once you find your size in New Balance you can always order that size and feel sure you will be getting the correct fit...on the same style shoe, of course. I am only talking of the Country Walking shoe here.Really, I do not know what I would do without New Balance. I have not found another shoe which cradles my foot correctly, has enough room for my necessary orthotics, has ideal cushioning in its construction and lasts seemingly forever. Great quality, perfect fit and I am a customer for life. The MW759's have a bit thicker and more cushioned sole than my older models, and for me that is much appreciated. A little more spring in my step! I have done some trail hiking in Colorado and Utah with the MW759's and find the cushion very good for moderately rocky trail walking. Of course, I use boots for more serious trails, but these, for normal tourist trail walking, will be much more than adequate.Happy trail walking to you.

Fit fine. Look narrow across widest part of sole.
I normally wear a size 11.5D and that's what I ordered and received. Out of the box the shoes just looked narrow. I compared them to my old New Balance 608 (V2) shoes and these 759s are a full half-inch narrower than those across the widest part of the sole. Surprisingly though, they fit just fine and I guess I'm about to order a second pair - maybe in a different color just to have two color options. I checked "fit as expected", because they fit fine, but anyone wanting a wide-sole shoe or a wide-looking shoe should get something else. I haven't had these long enough to comment on longevity (I've worn them in (office) work for only a few days) but they'll probably be fine. I will comment that I recently ordered a different NB shoe and didn't keep them long. Just gave them away. They were too short (though I ordered my standard size) and the sole began to detach within a couple months. Hope that doesn't happen with these. NB - I'm talking to you!Update. Am satisfied with these shoes and have purchased two more pair at reduced / sale price. I plan to use these for mountain trail walking and for casual / everyday use.
