As A PC Builder Of 12 Years I Cannot Recommend These Enough!
As hard drives come this thing is amazing, Okay its not an SSD but compared to a standard 7200 it just blows it away, windows 8.1 boots up in as little as 23 seconds (my SSD boots w10 in 16 and my other comp with a 7200 boots in over 4 minutes!) which is really nice and games seem to load faster not to mention apps. For the little bit extra cash you cannot go wrong with a hybrid drive. You really should invest in these over a standard if you cannot get an SSD and avoid regular hard drives unless you are using them purely for storage. SSHD are all I am using for windows boot drives in the future until SSD drops and I would recommend this to anybody and I have been building PCs for over 12 years.

BEWARE - this is NOT a Hybrid or SSHD drive as advertised
This is not a Hybrid or SSHD drive as advertised in the title (at time of writing the title on Amazon reads: "Toshiba MQ01ABF050H 500GB Hybrid Drive 5400rpm SATA 2.5 Inch 6.4mm Internal SSHD"). I opened and fitted drive before realising so can't return it. This is a perfectly ok 5400rpm HDD BUT it is NOT a Hybrid or SSHD drive as advertised by Amazon in the title. This is not what I wanted. Reading the description I see there is no mention of hybrid only mentioned in the title - I should have had my wits bout me when I purchased! These are available at dabs for £35 - reflecting the basic non sshd spec. Misleading product title.

Installed and working well, beware no literature in the package, just a bare drive. I'm looking forward to seeing the performance improvements. Still updating windows.
