Motorhome has house and start batteries. Will there be a problem using this item. I only want it for the start battery. Can it stay hooked up?

Motorhomes will have a switch to connect house batteries to main battery, if you only want to charge the main battery then don't link the house battery switch to on position.  Even if you did link the switch on the house batteries on the charger will charge all batteries and no issue will occur but may take longer to charge all batteries.

Do we have control over what state of charge is output ?  Equalization, more specifically ?

Does the 20A unit have an internal fuse?  If not, do you recommend that an inline fuse be added between the charger pos line and the battery?
