So here I am, it’s 2:14am, and I’m thinking about this dog shampoo like it’s an ex I should have married. I’ve committed to two corgis, but I used to foster all sorts of dogs. Sweet, flaky, itchy little gremlins who looked like they rolled in sadness and then sprinkled themselves with dandruff for texture. My house smelled like fear and hot spots. My couch? A crime scene of fur, skin flakes, and regret. Then I found this shampoo. Look, I didn’t expect much. I’ve been hurt before. But after just a few baths? These dogs were soft. Like, angel-cloud-sleeping-on-a-fresh-bag-of-marshmallows soft. Dandruff? Gone. Itchiness? Canceled. Suddenly, I’m not Googling “dog eczema home remedies” at 3am while a “lab-pit” mix uses my thigh as a scratching post. The smell? Eh. It doesn’t scream “spa day” or “walked through a meadow of vanilla blossoms,” but it also doesn’t smell like wet fur stew. It’s just shampoo. Neutral. Which honestly makes me trust it more. If it smelled like a tropical fruit salad, I’d be suspicious. I don’t even look at other shampoos now. This is The One. We’ve built a life together. My dogs don’t flake. I don’t cry. It’s peace. Buy it. Bathe them. Thank me later.

My dog has bad allergies, resulting in excessive licking and bad hot spots. This shampoo lathered up well, squeezed great out of the bottle (which is important if your dog is like mine and is not the biggest fan of baths), and really scrubbed the dirt off of his coat. 2 weeks later, his fur still is super soft and silky as well, which is crazy from what it was like before. However, it has a very strong, medicinal smell. If you are sensitive to smells, be aware that it sticks for a while. His coat is still silky, but when I go in for a hug I can still smell it, though it is not too strong to be super bothersome. However, I did make the mistake of washing my towels with his, and that smell would not go away until it was washed another two times. This product is great if your dog has itchy, dry skin all-over. If it is only bothersome in a particular spot, I would maybe try some medicated wipes first if you're not a fan of strong scents.

I’m on my 3rd bottle of this shampoo. Very good for dogs that have allergies or skin problems. Highly recommend

My dog seems to always have some sort of skin irritation on her back. It’s in the same area and I’ve tried different a few different creams, sprays and shampoos that claim to calm skin irritation but none truly helped. However, I came across this stuff along with the medicated ointment and it helped my dog tremendously. I highly recommend giving it a try. I did use both the shampoo and ointment so my review is based on a combination of using both products to achieve the positive results.

This did the trick for Max, however its not long lasting, but does stop the itching for a day or 2

I tried this product for my dog after noticing she was dealing with flaky skin here and there. It helped reduce her flakiness to some extent, however, I didn't see the dramatic improvement I was hoping for. I had to use it frequently to keep the flakes at bay, which made me wonder if it was truly addressing the underlying issue or temporarily masking it. The bottle is also on the smaller side, but my dog is larger, so I went through the bottle rather quickly. This product would help with regular maintenance and minor skin issues, but you may need something more specific for dogs with different skin issues.

I used this product on my schnauzer mix for 17 years. She passed and I have two full bred schnauzers now. One started getting little bumps on her back and in researching a solution to the issue I was reminded of this product. Ordered it and it resolved the little bumps after only one shampoo. It’s the best!

No Itching after the first time! It leaves the coat a bit dry though.
