Looks better than the pictures. Well worth the money. Lovely christening gift.

I was persuaded to buy this because my better half thought it would be a lovely Christening gift for a baby boy, and because of the other positive reviews on Amazon. I'm pleased to say that both she and the reviewers have been vindicated.This silver plated pirate ship is a lovely and surprisingly substantial ornamental gift. It is really quite heavy, and feels very solid, yet the sails and rigging give it a classy look of delicacy and fine detail. It comes packed with the mast and sail flat, but it takes a second to assemble and it really does look special.If you want something a little different from silver spoons and teddy bears, then this will not disappoint, and for the price I think it's a bargain. Delivery was very swift and the ship was well packaged -very little chance of damage.Highly recommended.AA

I was looking for something a bit different for a Christening gift and this was perfect. I'd seen one almost identical in a well know high street jewellers and they were charging more than double the price.This item was very well packed to pervent any damage in transit and on inspection was a wonderful well made item that looks more expensive than it was. It also came with a silver plate that can be engrave and attached to the back of the ship.After giving this as a present I have had many thanks for it and been told it was the best present of the day as it was so unusual. I'd definately reccommend this item it's a wonderful gift and would look great on display in a childs room.

This gift is very lovely. Slightly smaller than I expected but very good quality. I had the little plaque engraved "Captain Ted" for little Edward who was the Baptism boy! The plaque was easy to stick on using the adhesive backing. Only one complaint - The Amazon box arrived in perfect condition with plenty of padding but inside this, the small manufacturer's box the pirate ship came in was damaged. I had to buy a new box to do the gift justice which was annoying. All in all, I would still highly recommend this item.

Lovely Christening present

Beautiful item for a christening gift. Sturdy and lovely to look at

The money box was purchased as a gift for our newborn great grandson, it was delivered very promptly and well packaged. The item was exactly as described on the website and extremely well made. A very pleasing article all round.

Bought this for son's first Christmas and am really happy with the quality. I've read some reviews that suggested the chains from the mast were flimsy, I feel they're absolutely fine- it is an ornament, not a toy. It's quite a heavy object, but very pretty. Overall incredibly pleased.
