works great
I bought this so I could remove the seeds from raspberries for making sauces and jam. I was a bit skeptical since it was not a kitchen aid product but for the price difference I thought Id take a chance. It worked great and I look forward to using it for apple sauce when my apples get ripe. I found it removed the vast majority of the seeds maybe 99.5%, I sent the waist through a second time and by doing reduced the waist by half. The first time I used it I sent the finished product through a second time to remove the rest of the seeds but while it did remove most of the remaining seeds I didn't find it worth the extra step for the few remaining seeds, so here is my review Pros: * good price * even though it is plastic it is well made *easy to use and easy to clean cons: * it is plastic and not sure how long it will last but for the price I figure I can replace it if it does crack but it is well made and I expect it to last several years conclusion: well worth the money for the purpose I bought it for and would recommend it for anyone processing fruit, I can not speak to the meat grinder part since I haven't used it for that purpose

Great product!
I have a KitchenAid Professional 600 mixer. This attachment fit my machine perfectly. I had about 2 bushels of tomatoes to can this year. I started out with a food mill and was so tired I was ready to quit canning altogether. I finally ordered this attachment and was so amazed at how much easier it made everything. It was easy to set up and clean afterwords. I didn't have a big mess on my counter because everything dripped into my containers. It did a very good job of straining the seeds and peels from the tomatoes and dropped the mess into the pot, not onto the counter. I am very pleased and highly recommend this product.

Works great, excellent value.
After two seasons of use, I find this machine to be excellent for processing tomatoes. Not tested for any other foods, just tomatoes. Easy to set up and clean. Works fairly fast for our small batches. I measured snd found a single pass will yield 70% juice extraction, and three passes yield 95% efficiency. Removes all skin and seeds and does not clog. We take our ripe fruit, remove stems and bad spots, slice in half and run through the food mill. No blanching or other steps. This means we can get fresh juice for sauce quickly and easily. A valued investment for home gardeners who love homemade pasta sauce.

Seeder worked great!
Strainer worked very well to remove unwanted blackberry seeds so that I could make seedless jam.

great for applesauce
fantastic product. have used it with cooked cranberries and cooked apples, and I have no complaints! Held up well, no issues with juice leaking into places it shouldn't, and relatively easy to clean. my only wish would be for a larger hopper on top, but it's no deal breaker.

Easy to use to make tomato sauce
I used this for the first time today and I liked it. It was easy to use and easy to clean. I freeze my tomatoes as I pick them so I can make my sauce all at once. I poke a hole in the skin and roast them in the oven on 400 degrees for 20 min or so. This makes them nice and soft and a lot of the extra water comes out. Let them cool so you can pick them up and put them into the strainer and THATS IT. It separated the skin and seeds out and gave me a nice bowl of juice. I put the scraps thru a second time and got a thicker juice.. Third time was pushing it and a waste of time for me but I wanted to try. The down side.. after prolonged use the attachment pulls away from the mixer and jiggles and could spin of you are not paying attention.. it was my first use so I was going decently slow. You should also stop it now and then to clean out the strainer holes or all the juice pours out the back. It will still work if you don't but I found it was less of a mess when I did. This made making my seasonal tomato sauce a lot easier. I didn't have to slice and remove the seeds so it really cut down on the time. I will continue to use it and if anything happens I will update my review.

Great Alternative for Processing Tomatoes
I bought this primarily to process tomatoes with my KitchenAid stand mixer. Traditionally I've processed them with a manual food mill, but I have about 50 pounds of tomatoes this year, making the manual mill impractical. I have the old KitchenAid FGA-2 meat grinder attachment, which is not compatible with KitchenAid's current milling attachment. I hardly ever grind meat, so I wasn't enthusiastic about purchasing the new KitchenAid grinder *and* miller. I found this at a price that less than either one of those attachments individually and decided to try it. It worked great for my purposes. I ran about 25 pounds of tomatoes through it, and it took less than 30 minutes, and I'm a slow worker. I did blanch the tomatoes first to make the skins slide off more easily, and I do think I was able to get a slightly higher yield from the manual mill. However, for the time and effort saved this attachment was well worth it. Build quality is adequate. I wouldn't try to slam food through it as fast as possible, but It is certainly sturdy enough to stand up to normal household use.

Do not buy.
This is an awful product. Pushed tomatoes into the attachment area of my mixer and just spilled juice everywhere through every little crack and didn’t push anything out. All the seeds just stayed in the machine.

First time i made sausages and it was a snap with this grinder.
I was surprised at how easily it assembled; i bought 2 25 lb pork legs for 99c per lb and made it all into sausages in a few hours; it was simple and easy and fun to do.. The sausage was delicious, made wih my favourite spices, and it only cost me $1 per lb, which is an amazing savings during these difficult times. Cleaning was easy, i rinsed off the parts and put them in the dishwasher. I highly recommended this grinder to anyone who's interested.

Fácil de usar y buenos materiales
Creo que esta más resistente que el original. No lo use para rellenar salchichas ya que solo lo quería para moler carne.

Excellent grinder
I was initially worries that the grinder was plastic and not metal, but was pleasantly surprised as to the quality of the material. It's thickness and strength is closet to pvc pipe (though a different material) than to the plastic used for children's toys, for example. It was great for grinding meat, and I've had good success with sausage making ad well. One tip I found helpful when stuffing sausage was to have an elevated baking sheet closer to the height of the grinding attachment than to the counter on which the stuffed sausage can rest. This is true of all stand mixer sausage makers, not just this one, but it greatly helped in making sausage. I just put a baking sheet on a stock pot and was all set.

Works great so far!
this works well so far. I've only tried it once but it did the job. I will keep using this and update. This isn't a kitchenaid brand but you save money and it works! If you find yourself at home more often these days, this is a great way to learn a new skill.
