Can the marantz nr1711 at 50 watts power the polk r400 and in ceiling surrounds? i have an external amp powering the left and right channel.

Hello, please consider our R300 center channel as it is a sealed enclosure and may work best in a cabinet. Our R400 has two rear firing X-Ports. The R400 will work in a cabinet but may have increased bass. Most modern receivers will have the ability to set a desired crossover point to help with the playback response.

How much weight can the r400 bear on top of it? i would like to stand my tv (sony x85x95k) on top of it.

I don’t think It would be an issue to put a TV on top of it. It’s very solid.
