12 Argon Capsules - Can Work with Coravin by Following QR Instructions On Packaging - Argon Gas Capsule Refills - Wine Preservation

Terrible. Does not work with my Coravin at all. I have to soak an old Coravin cartridge in nail varnish to take of the black cap. When I screwed that cap onto the new cartridges and inserted it into my Carovin device, all the argon just escaped in seconds. I had to throw away all the cartridges. I’m going back to buying the Coravin branded argon cartridges.

These are about half the price of the alternative brand which equates to a considerable saving. Does need prep. You need a Coravin capsule, some nail varnish remover and the Ourgon removal tool (available on Amazon). Soak the capsule in varnish remover over night and then remove the black fitting using the tool and then screw on to the Ourgon capsule. Then works perfectly with the Pivot. Pretty straightforward and given the saving, well worth it. Recommended.

Warning! Be aware these DO NOT work as supplied for Coravin’s. You apparently need to take the caps off your old Coravin gas cannisters by soaking them in nail varnish remover, or by buying the tool they can supply to remove them. I wasted 2 trying to get it to work but it just leaked the gas out of the holder. I then had a ball-bearing loose in the Coravin, so think I may have permanently damaged it. An expensive lesson!

Works great, but READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. At first I was confused on how to use this product with my Coravin, but I then saw they provided a QR code on their packaging which links to a useful step-by-step instructions page with images which was very easy to follow. Great way to save money on my Coravin argon capsule refills.

I cannot believe they are selling these as an alternative to the incredibly expensive Coravin capsules. It's outrageous - useless and borderline dangerous, as they puff out gas when you put them in the Pivot. Has anyone succeeded in getting a refund? DO NOT BUY THESE!!

Firstly, this absolutely does work with Coravin. You have to liberate one of the black caps from a used Coravin capsule first, but that’s easily done, only needs doing once, and from there on buying Coravin’s own capsules is a bit like buying Nurofen instead of Boots’ own brand ibuprofen - you can if you want, but it’s functionally identical so why pay the premium? You do need to read the instructions carefully to start with (as I discovered!), but if you have any problems I’ve found Ourgon’s customer services to be incredibly helpful. This is a small company, every customer matters, they won’t leave you high and dry. Recommended.

These work fine, but you need a little preparation. Firstly you need the tool to take the cap of the old bottle as you have to reuse it. That's easy enough of you buy the tool - or if you have a 3D printer you can download the file and print one yourself - easy enough to find on Google. You don't need to mess about cleaning the threads with nail varnish remover., it doesn't seal on the threads. The biggest catch is that there is small O-ring in the tip of the old cap. If you lose it, or if you overtighten the cap on the new capsule and it squeezes out, the capsule will leak all the gas out. Keep the O-ring in place and gently tighten the cap on the new capsule so the O-ring stays where it should, and it'll work fine.

Doesn't work with Corovin - gas just leaks straight out when you put in the cartridge - waste of money, avoid.
