Very well made item, mags fit without issue, double stacks in 10mm are no problem, flap is Velcro and kinda noisy, would prefer a different type of fastener however I have no issues with quality of this mag pouch.

Awkward sizing. Only sorta holds double stack mags
This product is the exact same size as the model that holds 5 double-stack magazines. The product description says "Fits Most Single and Double Magazines". I think it will do fine with the 8 single-stack 1911-style magazines. However, on the double-stack magazines, the best you can do is 6 magazines and it's very tight. You have to put 3 on each end and leave the two in the middle empty, so the advertising is misleading. I kept it because I really like the ability to carry 6 double-stack magazines in a single pouch (2 guns, 3 mags each). I wish they would eliminate both the 8-mag and 5-mag and just go with 6-mags across the board. The quality is good and the Velcro is a nice option for adding patches to label the contents.

fits GI 1911 mags perfectly and holds up really well after a few moths heavy use
This pack fits 8 standard length 1911 magazines perfectly. I've had it back and forth from the range a few dozen times and it's held up really well for me. The strapping on the rear is pretty much useless for me but maybe others are able to make use of it. Velcro is holding up well to heavy use as well. I did try out some wider base 1911 mags with some success but not sure a full pack of 8 with the wider bases would fit nearly as well as the slab sided GI mags. Also tried out the 10 rounders and those fit great (with slab sides). You can adjust the length from standard GI to a bit longer super easily.
