Great freewheel upgrade for 700c bikes!
Wow great freewheel. No noise, my bearings were packed and didnt have hardly any noise upon shaking new out of the box..Installed with Shimano derailleur and 9.soeed trigger on front.Reliable and make the old Hiland 7 speed like a whole new bike when dropping on RockShox paragon to make an old 700c road bike more XC cross worthy and of course some Kenda 38x700c knobby super kross tires don't hurt either!Anyway.freaking great freewheel, saved me a second wheel upgrade on this bike rebuild (adding a 9 speed cassette would have meant a new.back wheel I avoided here too).

Good fit for an older bicycle
Bought this to replace a rear freewheel sprocket that had rusted and would no longer spin. Was a good fit for on older bike with cluster of five sprockets. It is a threaded sprocket that installed clockwise. If you need to remove an existing sprocket, you will need to purchase a spline removal tool. The sprocket only needs to be hand tight. It tightens as you pedal the bike. It has a smooth and quiet bearing.

Good 8 speed freewheel. Used it to replace 7 speed freewheel. Spun off old one, spun on new one.
I used this to replace a 7-speed freewheel on my folding bike. I've had low quality freewheels and cassettes before, and the quality on those is immediately apparent because they don't shift as well, and just something about it doesn't feel as smooth. This 8 speed freewheel is not like that - it's just as good as the shimano freewheels and cassettes in shifting and smoothness. The overall finish is nice and polished as well, and not rough like some cheaper ones.I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for an 8 speed freewheel. If you're looking to upgrade your 7 speed freewheel, this one will directly replace it without any modifications because the spacing is close enough. You'll also have to change your indexed 7-speed shifter though, if you want to access all 8 gears.

Lovely Gear Ratio
Love this freewheel ratio. Hard to find a free wheel that has this much power for a 7 speed.

this is a freewheel ( not cassette )
freewheels and cassetted are not interchangeable - make sure you are not ordering this by mistake. if the hub on your rim already spins ( if it's wratcheted ) then this is the wrong part for you. this screws onto a threaded hub and does all the spinning by itself independent of the hub. a good short video that explaina this better on youtube is : freewheel vs. cassestte - what are they ? can i convert.is this a good part ? i don't know it doesn't fit on my bike but it appears to be well constructed and thw price was reasonable.

Should of gotten a year ago
Apart from brakes, this is the best upgrade I have made on my custom E-bike. The stock freewheel that came with my 1500w 48v motor hub was a heavier 7 speed that would cause my chain to rub against the frame. So not only did the stock freewheel wear down my chain and damage my bike's paint, but the difference in material quality is significant. This new freewheel appears to be very well made, and although I had my hesitations about switching from 7 to 5 speed this put my concerns to rest. My only regret was not getting it sooner.

light in weight, fit perfectly, teeth on gears wearing and skipping very quickly
I put this on my climbing bike for trails as I liked that it was one of the few freewheels that went to 11t for 7 speeds and was almost immediately disappointed. It went on smoothly and fit perfectly as the ad said that it would. The Shimano shifter and derailleur indexed the shifts right out of the box and required almost no limit adjustments. The problem comes wit quality. Almost immediately, the freewheel's gears started to wear in an accelerated fashion to the point that by week 7 on the bike (about 40 hours of trails) the gear started to allow the chain to skip...especially under hard climbing or high speed and usually on the high gear (the one that most riders would use the most). It got slowly worse and by week 12, I had to replace it due to extreme gear tooth wear. Will stick with the name brands from now on and just work with the front gear to change ratios.
