I don't usually write reviews, I am a commercial woodworker, business owner, and very busy. That being said, these are worth my time for someone else's dime. I looked at reviews before buying, couldn't find one that validified my concern, Noise cancellation, and comfort, especially in a hot woodshop. I wear prescription glasses- These vs OEM fit better around my glasses Noise Cancellation - IMPORTANT for me, not a noticeable difference vs OEM in a 80 - 120Db work environment = HAPPY! Cooling - I'm a hot dude, the XM5 Headsets them self when i bought them left me a little disappointed because the OEM pads actually MADE me sweat. These, with a a soft fabric ear contact, and a leather interior, keep sound under control and are an Incredible upgrade for anyone dealing with heat or these making you sweat. No noteworthy sound quality loss or gain with the units output. I really like these. I wear these 12-16 hours a day, Every.. Single.. Day.. Ill update if needed, but for the price... These are a grand slam. Disclaimer, you have to be an idiot to think a headphone ear pad is actually going to provide a lower than ambient temperature than what is produced inside of the enclosed ear area! Direct fit, includes a prying tool for easy installation. Straightforward instructions on how to do the change. Also includes a water dropper and instructions to further increase the cooling effect. I previously had a set of cooling pads from another company that lasted 2 years from constant use and abuse. These work the same if not better than the pads I had on before, and work significantly better than the stock pads. Thickness is the same as my last pair and double if not triple the thickness of the stock pair. I prefer thicker pads to help cushion them on my head, compared to stock, where they have next to no cushioning. Noise cancellation is improved in my opinion with the thicker pads due to the increased noise isolation that the pads provide compared to stock.

Easy install, comfortable, no more sweaty ears lol

Installation was easy and these have about the same profile as the old pads. They definitely feel more comfortable and breathable and I find myself having way less heat around my ears with them. They fit exactly the same as the original and I don't notice any issues with ANC noise cancellation. Would recommend.

I was a little worried at first, because the opening is slightly smaller than the stock earpads, but it's not an issue. These pads immediately formed to my ear shape, and they are so much more comfortable than the stock ones. These feel like soft pillows next to my head, where the stock pads were painful after a couple of hours. These are the earpads that these headphones should be sold with! Sony took a step back, in comfort, from the XM4 when they made the XM5. These earpads make them almost as comfortable as the XM4s. They breathe without leaking sound, and I can wear my glasses without leaking sound. They mold around the ear pieces no problem.

I like these so much, I felt obligated to correct the record. I own three sets of Sony headphones and I've replaced the pads on all of them with these. My neighbors make a lot of noise. So, I wear these headphones nearly 24hrs a day, alternating as needed for charging. I wear them for work, off work, and, yes, even when sleeping. Before I found these pads, my ears would get extremely hot and sweaty, to the point being red and inflamed. Afterwards, all those issues went away. I would never actively "get them wet", per another (negative) review. They breathe, allowing any sweat to wick away, disbursing the heat at the same time. The fabric is way more comfortable than the stock vinyl. The pads are thicker than the stock pads, contrary to another (negative) review. Some reviews say the noise cancelling isn't as good because the fabric doesn't provide as good of a seal as the vinyl. That technically might be true, but I can't notice a difference. The only downside I've found is they do wear out, being fabric. I have one set on my White Sony XM5's that are ready to be replaced, which I'm about to order. As long as they don't raise the price, I think these are a must-have.

I bought these nearly a year ago. They still keep my ears cool while improving the ANC, compared to the ones that came with my headphones. The only issue that I have is that the middle inner lining is falling apart, which is probably from me overusing them. As long as you take care of them, these things will last you for a very long while.

I honestly don't understand the other reviews. It feels colder for like 10-15 minutes, but who cares, after 1-2 hours it feels exactly the same in terms of heat on my ears. It is heavier, lower quality (stiches aren't even straight), and the noise cancellation is slightly worse now. What a waste of money.

Just bought my XM5’s. They sound great, but they didn’t fit me properly. After installing these EarPods, they feel amazing. The headphones feels like clouds on my ears. Also it is way cooler than before. I had my doubt about this product, but I really recommend it

These make my ears feel cool, they are extremely comfortable, way better than the factory pads, they are just cozy and the sound quality is still amazing. The factory ones always made my ears super sweaty and warm, and these are just a no brainer!

Bought it as a replacement as the stock ear pads produce heat in humid environments and with longer usage. This serves the purpose. fabric is soft, comfortable. stays same way over long period.

Very easy to replace with the included tool and a worthy upgrade to my XM5s, they are more comfortable and is less warm to wear. The isolation (ANC-wise) appears to be better. I can recommend these as a cheaper alternative to wicked cushions for example.
