Candied Young Pine Cones - Siberian Delicacy by Samsonov 100g / 3.53oz

This was a fun food to try. They are sweet and soft. Kind of like eating the center of a fig newton. They smell like raisins. They're small. It was 50/50 with people loving vs hating them. They're definitely worth a try.

These are a unique conversation starter, but I can't convince everyone to try them. :0) I love the taste, texture, and flavor. If I had to describe the experience to someone who hasn't tasted them, I would say, "It tastes a bit like what you would think eating a pine tree would taste like!" I will certainly be ordering again, as these candied young pine cones are truly different and fun.

I've been wanting to try these for a time now and have to say they taste what you'd expect a wreath to taste like but without your tongue getting poked. At first it was a bit much for me and I wasn't in love with the flavor. I didn't think it was bad, just an acquired taste. Due to the pricing I figured I might as well finish the bag and oh my God I need more. They're soft and the taste like happiness. I'd definitely recommend and would say it's worth trying!

I am not aversed to food that is outside my usual pallet. I try to go into any new food with an open mind, and so it was for this. The taste is not unpleasant, nor is it unexpected. These are pinecones; they taste like pine. Shocking, I'm sure. That taste is not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination, pine pairs nicely with a wide varity of flavors, and I'm sure this along side a few shots of vodka would be fine. The issue for me is the texture, which I could not get over. Very soft, sticky, and unpleasant to sink one's teeth into. I'm uncertain if this was a bad batch or if I had simply eaten them incorrectly, but I could not stomach the whole bag, or even more than a couple. But then, I confess, I am not Siberian. This flavor holds no nostalga for me, nor is it one with which I have any history. I can't judge if these were simply a bad execution, or if this treat just isn't for me. Either way, buy this with some caution, or at least with the knowledge that this will be a very atypical treat, to say the least.

An unexpected find on Amazon. The inside of the pinecone is very soft, the outside a little more tree-like. Very unique taste, and certainly a conversation starter. My sister and cousin loved them. They aren't really my favorite, but a fun try.

Delicious healthy little “dessert” treats. Reminds me of my childhood, I recently rediscovered them as a n adult, and remembered how much I love them! They make great little Christmas gifts too, Because of their uniqueness!

It's one of the most unique snack I've ever had. It's like eating Christmas spirit. Really recommend.

Package was split open now leary of eating. Says I can't return or get a new one. Not happy!
