Great quality, looks like real wood. It keeps the time like it should. It fell off the wall and nothing broke. Well worth the money!

I bought this wall clock for my elderly mother. It is absolutely beautiful and she loves the chimes on the hour. Setting the chime tone for the hour was not difficult either. Daylight savings time, we had to play with it for a little bit, but we got it to chime accordingly when we set it back. Writing this review a year after purchase. Perfect gift.

This clock is very nice. Not too big, not too small. It keeps great time and will really make your wall look nice. Only problem is that it doesn't chime as advertised. I followed the instructions and only got it to chime 1 time but the actual time was 3 o'clock but it chimed 8 times. After that I haven't heard from it since. I got tired of trying to get it to work and looks like I will be sending it back. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice clock but I paid 80 something dollars for a chiming clock. I could have got one just as nice for a third of the price knowing it wouldn't fully work. Again other than the chime this is a nice clock.

NICE SET UP THE CLOCK BUT COULD NOT SET UP THE CHIMES. TWO TECH PEOPLE TRIED AND FAILEDNICE TO LISTEN TO EVEN IF THE CHIMES DO NOT MATCH THE HOUR

Size, shape, and function of this clock is spot on. Kinda makes one think it is an actual antique clock. Does takes many batteries to make it work though. Overall, love this product just stock up on batteries.

Looks good but too difficult to set up

Indeed, the pendulum alongside the second-hand do move about smoothly and completely silently, and the clock chimes loudly with the classic Westminster melody, followed by striking indicating the hour - the striking setup is explained in the manual - very easy to follow. This striking and chiming turns itself off from 9PM to 6AM. There is NO striking at the 15, 30, and 45 minute mark as is traditional - only on the hour. One bad thing about this, est quod in my bedroom hoc ponere volo but the chiming and striking is extremely loud, and there is no option to turn down the volume. I stuffed the speaker with tissues and taped it up with many layers, but still I would wake up every morning at 6am by the first chime. So I have to put the clock downstairs away from me overnight to be able to sleep past 6am, before moving it back to my bedroom during the day lol. If you need to get up at 6am, though, it is perfect.
