I was curious about this stuff after seeing a fellow curly girl use it on YouTube and thought it’d be worth a try considering the low price, especially relative to most curly products. It’s worth it! I wasn’t sure if it would be too heavy for my fine wavy/curly hair, but as a leave-in combed through with my fingers after cleansing, it’s actually perfect. It has a light hold and shines and smooths my hair very nicely. I also love that you can use it as a co-wash too, and the fragrance isn’t too obnoxious or lingering. A little goes a long way, so this tub should last forever! I will say that it showed up leaking. It’s shipped in shrink wrap so the spill was well-contained and I wasn’t overly worried about it being exposed to anything bc the lid was still on- it had just made its way over the threads during shipping. Oh well. No great loss, not a lot came out. I’ll still be buying this again.

Finally I found EXACTLY what I wanted. (See my hair details at end). No complaints about fragrance (very light). Controls frizz very well. Detangles very well. Defines my curls as if I have gel BUT makes my curls soft and not too heavy! (So greatly preferred to gel). I got a scoop and just put it all through my hair with my fingers, then a brush. No sections. No finger curling. No diffuser or fancy methods, lol. I am quite lazy when it comes to styling. I just want healthy hair and this is great. I got compliments daily all the way through my next wash day (day 5). Not chemically treated. Not dyed. Not damaged. Prone to dryness, not oily. I have not used heat in maybe four years. 3C and 4A curls.
