KastKing HyperSeal Waterproof Tackle Box, 3600 Tackle Trays

This box ticks so many items off the list of what makes an ideal tackle box. It's actually sized in line with other similar products so you don't have to worry if it'll fit in your bag, is completely waterproof (and floats as a result), has a ton of divider options (and actually comes with enough dividers for lots of small compartments), is extremely sturdy, and has a secure latching mechanism. The flexibility of the interior configuration is where this box stands above the competition - you have so many options available and configuration is a breeze. I also like the included moisture absorbing divider block. Pricing is extremely competitive with similar competing polycarbonate-based boxes and the latch is both secure and intuitive to use. The bright coloration and completely transparent top are a nice break from the cheap soft plastic translucent boxes in the space and the design and sheer number of configuration options separate it from the other higher-end competition. Top marks.

1st off-for those who don’t like reading reviews; I’d recommend this box, the 3700, the 3700 deep. I’ve bought 18 more since this single to test it out. The construction is great, quality is great bc of the Materials used and engineering. The one hand lid is great especially while on the boat and usually holding something in your other hand, it comes with several more dividers than others making its versatility and organization easy. I’m using the 3600 for small terminal tackle since I don’t have to worry about it getting mixed up going over the dividers since they go to the lid. I’m using the bigger ones for my larger baits obviously both soft and hard plastic I’ve got anything from a 2 and 1/4” soft plastic craw to 10” hard glide and swim baits. I never used for soft plastics prior to this one but I’ve found with the seal they stay fresher longer than the small “zip-loc” style they come in.

Im going to shoot straight here. I am admittedly a bit of a gear junkie. I have several Plano Edge 3600s and several of these Kast King 3600 boxes. I wish I had less Planos and more Kast Kings. Its not close. Build quality is a push. The opening and closing mechanism on the Kast King makes Plano look like they went out of their way to make it more complex than it needs to be. The 4 rows on the Plano just makes it actually less functional than the 3 rows on the Kast King. I can fit more in the Kast King. Unless you are storing small jigs, terminal tackle, etc - the 4 rows just dont work as well as the 3. Kast King needs to make more bait specific boxes (which are absurdly expensive in the Plano Edge line) and once they do I cant see any reason youd spend twice as much or more on the Plano boxes that have no advantage. I gave 1 of the Kast King 3600s and 1 of the Plano Edge 3600s to my wife - who has no idea about any of this stuff - and asked her which she thought was more expensive and which opened in a less idiotic way - and she said she truly couldnt tell why either would be more expensive than the other and that the way the Kast King opened by itself would be the reason she would choose them. Listen.....Im all about having the best stuff. But go with the Kast King here. Equal build quality, better opening latch and you can get twice as many boxes for the same $. I also have a few Buzbe in this size and while the Buzbes are nice, they are just far heavier than they need to be and they have a tendency to slide and bang all over the Yak. The weight of them just makes them just unnecessary weight in a kayak. If you are a boat angler, that may not matter as much to you. Seriously though Kast King. Make the bait specific boxes.

Great little box. This box was just right. I had enough space to put hooks, weights, leader hardware and even 3 sizes of trebble hooks. I like to carry a 5gal bucket when fishing. It fits inside the bucket. Dont have to worry about it coming open, snug latch. Water tight. I do recomend this item.

I love it . I use it for my Cochlear implants extra parts. It’s very convenient. The boxes are great size for all my little parts.

Best tackle box I love how it has waterproofing closes well and removable compartments are amazing and this thing is solid.

This 3600 size is a great waterproof tackle box with solid build quality and nice compartments. It keeps all my gear organized and dry, WOULD BUY AGAIN!
