Hi karate.
Bought these for my kids karate school. They’re holding up they get punched all the time. My young son can chopped through even the black one. You can stack them against each other if you wanna make it harder.

Good way to practice at home
My son used this before his exam to practice breaking the board. It gives him enough confidence to go for the actual board. There are several boards included based on the level of difficulty (belt color). It has a certain technique to properly put it back together but once you get a hang on it, its easy.

The real deal - boards really do hit back
My 6yr old started kickboxing so we got these to help him with his punches. My friend and I Tested all of them out one by one and were able to break them all. You can also stack them to make it significantly harder to break. Don't stack the 2 biggest ones - you'll break your hand before they snap. An ER trip with 3 xrays told me to wear gloves next time. I do like the padding but that's mostly so you don't damage the boards. You absolutely need gloves. I do recommend these - they're easy to slide together and to break.

They get very loose very quickly
These are fun at our Kung Fu school. We have a big problem though with the Brown Boards. After only about a dozen times breaking it, it no longer is effective. When we put it back together it just pulls apart and takes very little effort to break. I know these things get a little loose over time, but I expected them to last a bit longer than this very short time.

Go back together easier than other brands and seem to hold well
I returned a different manufacturer because it was hard to get the rebreakable boards back together. With this set it is possible to get them back together, so they actually are reusable. I like that it has more in the kit as well (5 instead of 4). I bought these for my son and he enjoys testing his taekwondo skills with them.

Good quality
The quality is good however I did not receive the right boards. I received 2 of the higher level boards and missing one of the lower level boards

Students love them, but then my club banned them!!
Bought these a while back and only used them twice. I teach for a karate club and thought it would be a good tool to teach proper transfer of power and focus. Although it is very satisfying to get a board to break, and there is a definite increment in difficulty level as you go up the grades of board, they are incredibly fiddly to put back together. You can waste quite a lot of lesson time trying to reconstruct them. Whether it is the fault of the boards or the people hitting them is arguable, but some students have damaged their knuckles quite badly, ending up with severe swelling even as low down as the blue board. Maybe some focus pad gloves are in order for some people, but I can see that making breaking the higher boards a lot harder! The reason our club banned them? No fault of the board. Like any lesson involving equipment, or even without, accidents happen when there is a lack of control. Some kid held one right in front of their face when someone gave it a good punch with follow through, and ended up with considerably less teeth than he started out with! Not at a lesson of mine, I hasten to add. So, if they ever get used now it will be private use, away from a club lesson, with someone I can trust to hold them properly. They are good in a place and at a time, but for the amount of use I'm getting out of them I have to drop it to 4 stars I'm afraid.
