92MM 3Pin case fan for SFF Quiet
have not really done any computer mods or builds so a little rust about sizes and 3 pin 4 pin PWM etc... just had to refresh my brain. Fan was making noise in my HP TP01-2165z SFF rig so I ordered an 80 MM fan Wrong to small LOL! Kept it and ordered a 120 MM fan ??? Wrong returned an ordered this Vantec price was good and moves a decent amount of air and is fairly quiet from what I can tell. So conclusion is there are not that many 92MM sized fans compared to 80-120MM fans I have always built mid and full sized towers so 92mm was kind size I knew little about. Lesson learned

Pay extra for quiet?
Why do you have to pay extra for a phone number to be unlisted in the phone book? Why do you have to pay more for a fan that is quiet? Whatever the answer... This is a well made fan that I believe will last a long time. It is quiet just as advertised, and will work well with a HTPC or sitting next to you at your desk. Of course, you will need to make sure it moves enough air to meet your cooling requirements. A cheap screaming 75db fan will most likely blow harder, but they are very irritating too. There are modifications you can make to the screamers (running them below the rated voltage) that quiet them down, but it is easier and safer to switch to a quiet fan like this. If you have a full size case, it is possible that you will need to extend the wires. They make (fan extension) cables for that too. I love this "stealth" fan.

The Word "Silent" is Subjective, I Guess...
Way too loud. this created a constant hum in my HTPC. It was annoying, so i took it out. While I understand smaller fans typically make more noise, I would think that a product throwing around "Stealth" and "Silent" in the title would be less audible. I could hear the fan in the middle of movies, and it drove me nuts. I've had cheaper 40mm fans that I swear weren't this loud... Maybe it's just my expectations being too high, but I wasn't looking for much more than a little bit of additional air circulation in my case. I went with a fan that claimed it was silent. Out of the 3 fans in the case (including this one) and the two USB-powered 120mm fans on the back of the entertainment center, this "Silent" fan was the only one I could clearly hear from any location in my 15 x 20 living room, and some parts of my Kitchen, my guest bathroom, halfway up the stairs, Halfway down the hallway... I have no idea how much air this thing moves, that wasn't the reason I bought it. I bought it for it's supposed silence. If more air movement was my top priority when looking for fans, I would look for something like "Tornado" or "High-RPM/CFM" ... not "Stealth" or "Silent" I can undervolt a $3 fan to make it quiet, I thought if I paid more, I wouldn't have to do that.

Makes a good CPU fan replacement
When one of the two CPU fans in my server started dying I was forced to look for a replacement. I didn't want to replace the entire CPU fan as the Thermaltake Silent Boost for Opteron heatsinks worked very well, their fans were just designed poorly and tend to fail frequently. So I hunted up the specs and found that they use 92mm fans, so I hunted up these Vantecs, because when I previously purchased some 120mm Vantec Stealth fans they were incredibly quiet and I hoped the smaller version would have the same characteristics. I was not disappointed, these fans are even quieter than the Silent Boost fans I believe, and keep my server just as cool. They also have a much lower profile so I can route cables more easily and have more space around the CPUs to mount an additional fan for cooling the RAM.

I HATE noisy fans!! I LOVE Vantec Stealth fans
I HATE noisy fans!! I LOVE Vantec Stealth fans! I've been using them for years. I think I've only had a few wear out ever. And that's surely from the horrendously dusty environment which is my house. Very quiet. Good airflow. Extremely reliable. Good price. No LEDs or clear plastic or fancy-lookin' doo-dads. But I don't want them! It's a FAN! I love these so much, I bought extras in multiple sizes. But they're still on the shelf because the Vantec Stealths I already have installed just keep on working, quietly! Yay!

Excellent Fan
This fan is quiet and dependable. It is installed in my computer for about 18 months now and is just as quiet as the day it was installed. I also have an 80mm Vantec Stealth fan (purchased about eight years ago) installed in the same case; it is equally quiet even after all these years (I have continued to use it over four system upgrades). Highly recommended if you want no-frills quiet dependability with exceptional bang for the buck.

Small, quiet, good quality, overpriced for the size.
I ordered this by mistake, I really wanted an 80X80. I tried to return it but I would have lost 8 of my 10 dollars I spent on it so I decided to keep it. I hooked it up and it moved a good amount of air (for it's size) and was quiet. I had noticed some heat in the area of my HDDs so I found a spot to mount the fan and I was surprised at the amount of cooling I was getting. My monitor software said I was running about 12 degrees F cooler that I normally saw on my hard drives. I recently ordered a Noctua 80mm fan and I must say that it was outstanding. Compared to the Noctua, this fan is just OK. At a lower price point it would get an extra star. I would like to review a Vantec 80X80 but I don't have one, it would be nice to know how it stacks up against Noctua. I would have taken some pictures of my install but I buttoned the system back up and since it required almost complete disassembly I'm not likely to get any any time soon. :(

Very Quiet Fan
I use this fan for keeping a ham radio cool and not for computer use. I was using an old computer fan of the same size, but it was loud and annoying. I decided to give this one a try and was not disappointed. It runs very quietly, but still moves enough air to keep my radio cool even under times of heavy use. There is a drawback to the quiet fans, they (typically) sacrifice higher speeds for more quiet operation. If you have an installation where sound is a factor, I would recommend this fan.

Excelente producto
