I don't drive my truck a lot lately and as a result battery has gone dead a few times. I got this so I can check the battery remotely and it will also send a notification if your battery falls to a certain level that you can adjust in the app settings. It works perfectly from behind the wheel, I'm able to park almost directly under my bedroom window it should work fine from there too if I open the window. Bluetooth is a short range technology, most folks are saying under fifteen feet which is fine with me. There are a few tenders available that have wifi capabilities but this gadget is more versatile because you can use it with any charger or a solar panel etc. and keep an eye on your battery level remotely. The unit also has other functions that I have no plans to use at the moment but adds to the value of the item for sure. I had zero problems finding the app with the convenient scan box on the box the item comes in and the app had zero issues finding the gadget and pairing with it (make sure bluetooth is on before you install the software, the gadget comes on in pair mode like many if not most bluetooth gadgets these days. So far so good, it would appear they've improved things or I just lucked out and don't have any interference at my house. Does what I wanted, lets me monitor car battery voltage without getting into the engine compartment. You will automatically get a notification every day from the unit but it will only show current battery voltage level which is what I wanted it for. update roughly three weeks later: Item still working great but this morning when I started up the app it could not see the battery in my car only a couple feet away. I have noticed that sometimes with products using bluetooth an app update might mean you have to restart the phone/tablet or rarely even reinstall the bluetooth gadget before things start working correctly again. I don't know if there was an app update, it was in the 20's outside this morning but that shouldn't have been cold enough to create a problem. Turned the phone off and restarted, all working again so be aware that if you have issues you possibly need to turn off your phone and restart to get it working again (not a biggie). I put my new nocco genius 10 charger on the battery (probably stay away from where you have the gadget connectors on the battery just in case) and used the app to monitor the charging works perfectly shows voltage coming off the battery and percentage charged to get any more info you have to start the car up. It's now almost April of 2025 been using this about six months. Item still working perfectly and I can sit in my bedroom and pickup the bluetooth connection off the truck parked outside my window. It's doing what I wanted it for, making sure my battery doesn't go dead because I don't drive the truck enough. I'd recommend this little add on to anyone with a vehicle they don't drive every day but need it to start when you need to drive it. September 2025 bought a solar charger (schumacher) because my one outdoor outlet on that side of the house developed an issue. This item lets me monitor the battery even running off a solar panel charger. This was such a good purchase and it didn't cost that much at all. Would definitely get this item again if I change vehicles.

I have added this to my Subaru to track the discharge issues that plague my Forrester, because Subaru shuts the alternator off via the cars sensor in an effort to get better MPG. Basically, this horrible software will create a no start dead battery situation in less than 2 weeks. This monitor allows me to track charging performance and battery voltage. It took only a couple minutes to install. Works great as well. A very handy device for any car, boat, motorcycle or rv. Tge only thing it can’t report on is current draw. Cars today have a parasitic draw than can be above 85 milliamps. This kills batteries by deep discharge if the car sits for a week or more. This monitor will report declining voltage via discharge. I highly recommend this.

This has been great for monitoring the battery on my electric lawn mower, the readings are accurate and easy to read, good quality and it has held up great in the past year since install. I love the app and other tech features and the price was not bad for all that you get. Easy to use if you read the instructions or watch the video on youtube. Features on the app are also worth a look.

The physical install was a piece of cake. This thing is very small and should work for just about any vehicle battery needed. I installed it on the house battery of an RV. Next download the app, Easy and fast to install. I used guest mode to skip any of the registration stuff. Next is the only part that I struggled with. You need to enter the module ID into the app. and my phone was not reading the printed bar code to auto enter it. I eventually got the ID and now it works perfect. A simple click on the app and I can see the SOC of the battery, If the Vehicle is running I can also see the output of the alternator voltage and that it is charging the battery. I would without doubt say if you want to keep an eye on your battery you should get one of these. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the trouble I had getting the unit to pair with the ID of the module. For the record, I have it paired with a couple of iPhones

Great product at a great price! The information is something you need to monitor and any potential failures should not be unexpected. Install couldn’t be easier just a couple minute. App and software is great. Based on the information after a few days I replaced my 6 year old battery, which I planned to do anyway before winter but based on the information after installation I didn’t want to get stranded between now and then,

Update: I've but been and to connect from my phone for over a week now. I've driven almost every day but it will not connect. I got what I originally needed out of it so I will probably just remove it and look for a different device. Original: I got this to monitor the battery in my F150 and it works but just barely. From the driver's seat it connects most of the time but just outside the driver's door it won't connect anymore. On the passenger side it reaches to just behind the rear door. I mounted it on top of the battery which in the front passenger side under the hood. The lack of distance makes it useless for monitoring unless you only care about the state once you get to/in the vehicle. The Victron shunt on my RV parked on the opposite side of the truck reaches to the living room. The truck's Bluetooth will connect to my phone if I leave it in the house just fine, I'm not sure why the range for this is so short. I would give it 4 or 5 stars if the range was better. I had hoped it would reach the house then I was going to see if I could get Home Assistant to read and track the voltage, but given that it doesn't reach that far I'm not even going to try. My truck has been reporting low battery when it sits overnight if it is cold so I was wanting to track it 8n different scenarios. The only good thing is that it should log the data so at least I can see how it is draining over time. If it wasn't for that I would be sending it back. I already have way more battery data through my OBD adapter while I'm driving. Lack of range is why I removed 2.5 stars since it is by far the shortest range Bluetooth device I have. I removed the other half star for the app. I don't like that it is tracking my location and recording it. I would return this but would rather just eat the cost than go through the trouble just for it to most likely go into a landfill if I did return it. I'll keep it in the truck for awhile but may move it over to the generator or one of my other battery boxes.

The BM200 is a very well designed compact sensor, easy to connect, with a very user friendly app that clearly gives you picture of battery health. It graphs the info and also stores the Voltage, % Charge Capacity SOC, and temperature 24/7 on 2 minute intervals You can then export the data to Excel (.csv) for many uses.

This thing is driving me crazy I bought a brand new AGM group 65 battery and I ordered this to keep an eye on it and it keeps showing me lower voltage compared to the voltage display I have in the car and my OBDII reader. This device shows me battery SOC(Stare of Charge) goes from showing 12.8v and 100% SOC right after shutting the car off to 54% to 58% and 12.0 to 12.2v after I leave the car for about 5 to 6 hours I almost went and returned the battery because I thought it didn't hold charge but I also have a voltage display on my phone charger in the car and that one shows 12.6 to 12.8 even after 5 to 6 hours so I decided to hook up my obdII reader without starting the engine just the key turned to ACC and the obdII reader showed me 12.6 to 12.8 volts after 5 to 6 hours also same as the display on my car phone charger inside the car. Even when the bm200 shows 12.0 volts and 55% SOC when I start the car and look at the cranking test the car cranks really good the voltage only drops to 10.7 to 10.9 volts each time which is a sign of a very healthy battery so there is no way my batteries SOC is at 55% because at that percentage the car would crank slower and the cranking voltage would definitely drop below 9.6 volts at 55% SOC. I have the BM200 set to AGM battery so it can't be that I have it set at a wrong battery type I even went and replaced my battery terminals to really expensive thick copper ones because I thought maybe they were worn out and they really did need changing but nothing changed on the BM200 it still keeps displaying lower voltage than all other devices and yes the BM200 is hooked up to my battery terminals. While the engine is running it's same thing my phone charger and OBDII reader shows charging at 14.6 to 14.7 volts and the BM200 shows 14.0 to 14.2. It's completely driving me crazy because I keep thinking the brand new AGM battery is faulty but than my other 2 devices and cranking test show it's a perfectly healthy battery working like it should. UPDATE 01/31/26; The customer service reached out to me and they were just amazing that's why I am updating from 1 star to 5 stars because even though I returned my BM200 monitor they offered to send a new complimentary BM200 at no cost to me and the new unit came the next day and is actually working great the previous unit was all over the place with voltage but the new one is working great. But the main thing I want to say is how absolutely amazing their customer service is they answered every message I sent within an hour or two and they were extremely helpful and polite. I am almost 50 years old and this is the first time I have ever experienced such an amazing customer service. With such an awesome customer service I will definitely be buying more Ancel products.

The 12V battery on my Mazda MX-30 EV is dying, instead of having to call emergency road service, when my EV, will not start, I found this device on a post on YT, they directed me to Amazon. I placed it on my battery, as it monitors my 12V battery, indicating the SOC(State of Charge) and the battery Voltage. The current draw at 12V from the battery, is from 4.63mA to 1.38mA, depending on the state of the battery test. Accuracy is about 99% which makes an excellent battery monitor. The GPS(find car) uses google maps at this time is not accurate at all. As I am sitting in my car which is in a parking outside is indicating, is 50M away. This does not work at all in a mall inside parking. The setup is very easy, but it can only pair one device at at time, must pair with the Ancel BM200 APP. I am happy with this 12V battery monitor, is a good buy, must have, when monitoring 12V battery is needed. Recommend, as it works for me, allowing me to know the battery voltage in real time , ploting history graphs of battery voltage, saved for 5 days for review.

Da ich wenig Auto fahre, muss ich meine Batteriespannung immer etwas im Auge behalten. Ein kleines PV Modul läd meine Batterie bei Sonnenschein täglich auf und mit diesem Monitor kann ich aus der Wohnung kontrollieren ob auch alles funktioniert. Das sogar mit einer erstaunlichen Reichweite, Empfang in die erste Etage durch das Mauerwerk und das Auto steht sogar auf der anderen Straßenseite, perfekt. Schön finde ich auch, das über mehrere Tage die Daten gespeichert werden, also wenn ich mal nach einer Woche erst wieder drauf schaue, kann ich mir auf der Kurve in 5min Schritten alle Werte angucken. Genau so speichert die App die letzten Werte, also wenn man weit vom Auto entfernt ist, kann trotzdem noch durch die Kurven der vergangenen Tage blättern.
