Honestly, I don’t find a reason to get anything more expensive. This works perfectly fine with a very quick heat-up, easy manipulation and comes with anything necessary such as a lock and a good length of cable. It is very light as well. The size is neither too big nor small; perfect to straighten your back hair and maybe, protable even when traveling. It does not allow you to manipulate how hot it could be, but it’s hot enough to work well while not too hot to damage your hair. Every aspect of it is just fine and I don’t find anything uncomfortable. Highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable but a fine option.

Bought as a spare, seems to work well. It heats up very quickly but cools down slowly.

I'll be honest, I didn't buy these for my hair but I tried them and they work really well on my frizzy curly hair....I'm just too lazy to go through all that. What I do use them for is crafting. Specifically, ironing out feathers I've made from wool fibres. Or rose petals made from the same. Sometimes even a mouse ear. If I ever need to get a really smooth finish on anything needlefelted, I use these and they're great. Heat up fast, have an on/off switch on the handle and a clasp to keep them closed when not in use. They are also good on hair, if you can be bothered :)
