Quite an upgrade from Rorona
Atelier Totori feels like an major upgrade from Rorona. Graphics have significantly improved and look much more anime cel-shaded style at all times. Combat system has been revised from the first game in the series and includes features that streamlines the action. The story seems to be a bit better than the last game but not too far into the game to say too much about it. Synthesizing items still has a role in the game and there is still a time line however. The packaging is much smaller than the other premium edition games of the past such as of Atelier Rorona or Ar Tonelico. The artbook that comes with it is okay but I own the Atelier series artbook so nothing much I can really say here. I haven't listened to the soundtrack CD either but I don't think it can compare to the actual soundtrack. Overall, appears to be a good game if you are fans of the series and JRPGS in general. Just be sure to not play through this game and then go play Rorona or that will take quite a bit of adjusting to.

My Favorite Atelier
Atelier Totori is without a doubt one of my favorite in the long running franchise. It has everything you would expect of an Atelier game, along with a great story that dives into more serious matters that the other games in the franchise lack. Highly recommended for any fans.

You can beat it and still loose
So, i beat this game Last night, or the game ended after 22 hours of play and i lost. Or i should say i ran out of time. This games about micro managing your time and the different challenges that you have to complete to get points for your licences to stay a adventurer. at first your able to basically go about and grind to get these points but by the second half of the game you better have it figured out. It took me a long time to figure out how to get better swords and armor which was my down fall in the end. This games fun though, the characters are your basic group of cute anime characters, with little to no actual story to hold onto. so you better find them cute or entertaining or something or you'll be pushing the next button a lot. The real problem is by the second half, i started not caring about what was happening, because it started feeling to much like the same same. one of the big reason i think i lost so badly as well. So, if you like animal crossing, or any of those facebook gardening games this games your ticket. if your like me and you need a little bit more to hold onto, then I'd read about it plenty before picking up a copy. I'm happy i did and the first 15 hours i put into the game i really enjoyed, but I'm not sure if i care to play it again to get the better endings. For the game will just be again the same same. I give this game 4 stars because i really appreciate that these different style games are coming out in America, and i really did like it until i got bored. Would recommend for most people to pick up the cheaper version, not the Bundle Edition. It's not really worth it compared to the last ones that came out with the other Nis titles. the books small, and the Soundtrack is most just the back ground music. That said the geek in me had to have it.
