NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES • This haunting novel reveals the dark ambition of one of Disney’s most cunning villains: Ursula, the sea witch. Hate. Her magic was infused with it. And in that hate was a deep, penetrating sorrow… The tale of the sea king's daughter Ariel is a beloved one of losing―and then finding―one's own voice. The story has been told many times and in many ways. But always the mergirl wants more than her world can offer, and her father demands that she live within the confines of his domain. Her rebelliousness costs the little mermaid her voice and nearly her soul. But the power of good prevails, and Ariel emerges proud and unchanged. And yet this is only half the story. So what of Ariel's nemesis, Ursula, the sea witch? What led to her becoming so twisted, scorned, and filled with hatred? Many tales have tried to explain her motives. Here is one account of what might have shaped the sea witch into a detestable and poor unfortunate soul. Review: I would recommend - Great book and story twist, nice to learn more about the villain Ursula. Bought to add to my little mermaid collection. Review: What a wonderful story. So worth the wait - What a wonderful story. So worth the wait. I loved every single page of this book. Fairest of all is probably one of the most wonderful and beautiful books I've ever read. Loved it. The Beast Within, for me, was a disappointment compared to its predecessor. Then we get back to the Villains with Ursula, and once again, a wonderful story. I loved the back story, I loved the previous characters roles, I loved the mention of other Disney Villains. I could not put this book down. Please, please buy it, read it, love it, review it. There are plans for more villain trilogies, lets help bring them to life.

You either love or hate the twisted tales
Disney offers up numerous books in the twisted tales series and I am aware that some people find the crossover of characters from other stories can frustrate but for me personally I think these stories are well written and an interesting take on the well known Disney characters we all know and love (or love to hate) and this is a book I really enjoyed reading and have re-read once already.

GOOD, BUT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
As a fan of Disney villains, I liked the book, and I thought it was good. But not too sure I liked the whole background thing with Cerce and Ursula. I love Ursula as a villain in her own right, and loved the background story of what Triton let happen to her Dad, but feel like that could have had a much bigger part to play in the ending than it actually did.

Dissapointment
If you wanted a story about Ursula, this ain't it. It's all about a princess named Tulip. Ursula maybe takes up a quarter of the book. It was for me a dissapointment. Maybe the series in a whole is worthwhile but not if you are like me and wanted a full book about our sassy villain.
