A great fitness partner !
As a fitness enthusiast, finding a reliable and accurate heart rate monitor is crucial to tracking progress and optimizing workouts. The COOSPO HW9 Bluetooth 5.0 ANT+ Heart Rate Monitor is a great investment I've made for my fitness journey. The Bluetooth 5.0 technology ensures a seamless and fast connection to my devices (especially during my DDP Yoga). The compatibility with popular fitness platforms adds a layer of versatility that caters to various workout preferences. The Optical HRM Sensor is a game-changer, providing precise heart rate data for cycling, running, and fitness training. What sets the COOSPO HW9 apart is its ability to break down heart rate zones and calories burned, offering valuable insights into the intensity and efficiency of my workouts. This feature has undoubtedly taken my training sessions to the next level. The armband design is comfortable and secure, allowing me to focus on my activities without worrying about the monitor slipping or causing discomfort. The device is also sweat-resistant, making it perfect for intense workouts. What I love most about the COOSPO HW9 is its reliability and accuracy. I can trust the data it provides, giving me the confidence to push my limits and achieve my fitness goals. The long battery life ensures that it's ready for action whenever I am. If you're serious about maximizing your workouts and achieving peak performance, the COOSPO HW9 is a must-have.

Definitely worth it
I had looked at different options for a heart rate monitor. I have a smartwatch (Amazfit bip5) and it works pretty good but this thing allows me to have a real time heart rate and connects to the machines (I go to a planet fitness) which helps me hit my goals well. It is really comfortable my only complaint is that it didn't come with a bigger band to fit on my biceps but works perfect on my forearm with no slipping or issues reading. I have not used a chest strap but I imagine it is a lot more convenient and comfortable than one of those

Best HR monitor I have used
I bike and walk everyday. As I get older and wiser I needed to make sure I was properly zone training so that I don’t get injured. This HR monitor is simple and is accurate, I compared it to my Apple Watch and to a chest monitor and it is the same. Bluetooth works with my Apple Watch so I don’t need to pair to my phone, but you can pair it to your phone. I also pair this to my computer for Zwift and works amazing. I have had it for a month and it’s still holding its charge. I like the way it looks and it’s easier to put on with all my gear on, I don’t have to remove clothes to put on the monitor unlike my chest monitor which used watch batteries. The rechargeable battery is a huge advantage so that I don’t have to swap batteries ever.

Stopped working after 5 weeks, now completely useless
Worked great for about a month, then all of a sudden stopped working. It now gives a heart rate that is obviously much much lower than reality (ie, it’s detecting a heart rate in the 50s when I’m probably between 140-150bpm). Completely useless, do not recommend if you need something that works for longer than 5 weeks. Update: Abysmal customer service. Like another reviewer experienced, the company sent an automated message offering me a full refund, and then when I responded to that offer, I stopped hearing from them. Buyer beware- this company appears to make products that work 7 out of 10 times, and the 3 who end up with lemons are stuck with no support. Take the chance if you want, but don't expect support if you're an unlucky buyer of a garbage unit.

Good and interesting armband
The **COOSPO HW9** heart rate monitor stands out for being extremely comfortable during intense workouts. Its design allows for a quick and easy fit, ensuring the sensor stays in place without causing any discomfort. In terms of performance, it offers accurate and reliable readings, making it a solid ally for those seeking rigorous heart rate data. A major strength is its **high level of customizability** through its dedicated app. From there, you can personalize the LED zone indicator, choosing whether it stays on or changes color based on exercise intensity, which facilitates instant visual monitoring. While the battery life is impressive, there are areas for improvement. It is frustrating that the device lacks an **automatic shut-off** feature despite integrating Bluetooth 5.0, forcing the user to be mindful to avoid unnecessary battery drain. Additionally, the strap's durability is a concern, as it seems to stretch out faster than expected with consistent use.

Worked great for a year.
I really liked using the HW9 for cycling for just over a year. . It was decent value and was accurate. The plastic housing holds the strap in place and busted when I wore it a little too tight over my bicep. Seller said there was no way to fix it and buy a new one. Wish it was a little more durable, or was able to have replacement parts.

Great product at a great price.
Excellent product at a great price! Super accurate, very convenient and inconspicuous, and so easy to use. I recommend the Heartool app. Connects immediately and gives heart rate data and stress zone levels, from zone 1 to zone 5. I wear it on my forearm, but can also wear it on my bicep, which is only 14 in circumference. There is a second strap for larger bodies as well.

Device is OK, but not a fan of the apps
Mixed feelings on this one. After buying an expensive smart watch recently, I was disappointed that even with continuous heart rate monitoring, I couldn't set alerts for high rates during workouts. And no apps seemed to be able to handle it accurately. Plus, the continuous monitoring wasn't so... continuous. The watch just doesn't stay in the same place well enough and constantly loses readings. So I figured I'd try a dedicated heart rate monitor, and I wanted one for the arm, not with a chest strap. That's how I found this model. Now, my first disappointment was my own fault. I'm not sure why, but from one of the videos and some of the reviews I read, I misunderstood the zone customizations and thought we could set an alert for each zone, basically letting us know through different vibration patterns when we moved from zone to zone. This would make it not only helpful during workouts to avoid over-doing things, but it would also be helpful for those of us who need to monitor our heart rates more closely even at rest due stress, heart issues, etc. to identify our triggers and stop unintended rises quickly. Unfortunately, that's not the case. It's a single alert. So you can't set an at-rest alert along with your workout alerts. Disappointing. And that makes it only about half as useful as I'd hoped. But I'll continue using it for now for workouts I suppose, and hopefully the company will consider broader alert features in the future. I was also disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any continuous reporting of your heart rate. My aim was to get better continuous tracking because my watch doesn't always stay in place well, and I was hoping to have a comparison point for overnight tracking. And there was definitely a reviewer saying this device not only offered continuous monitoring but that it reported this via an app. If there's a way to do this with the connected apps, I've yet to find it. As a typical activity-based heart rate monitor, this is fine. It stays in place well, at least for now. Anything with stretch can get looser over time. But it's nice that they include a second strap. I didn't think to check if the band had latex, so I'm hoping I don't have a reaction to it. It can be a little uncomfortable, so be careful about how you position it. I prefer to wear it on my forearm and not my upper arm, and if you get anywhere near where your arm bends, it can pinch a bit with motion. Even though it can't alert me at various zone levels like I thought it could, the LED colors are helpful when I'm working out with someone else. At least they can alert me when things change to orange or red so I can be more cautious even before the alert vibration goes off. Not helpful for monitoring stress and other triggers at-rest, but if you have a trainer or workout partner, it could be good just for the visual cue. So yeah. The band is OK. Not what I expected, but if you want this mostly for workouts and not more general monitoring, it should get the job done at a reasonable price. My biggest issue with this so far is the pair of apps. The bike app is pretty useless to me, but I downloaded it because this page (I believe) mentioned you needed that one to set the custom heart rate zones and alert. From what I saw, you might be able to do that from either one. The other app is a bit better, but again, I expected continuous monitoring and reporting, and this just doesn't do that. Unless I'm missing something, you have to open the app, manually start recording exercise, manually stop it, and then you'll only see data for that shorter period. Not a bad starter heart rate monitor, but I really hope there are either app improvements or a newer model coming that can handle actual continuous monitoring and report, with better alert customizations. It didn't meet my particular needs, but for athletes, I imagine it'll meet yours much better.

Good so Far
Been using for about a month and a half and seems to be working well. Is accurate. Use it for about 3/4 to 1 hour per day and stays well charged. Just charged when I received and am still running on the second charge. I use it with the Candence app and they pair well. To turn it off sometimes have to take it off so it is not reading my pulse. Once I remove it and hold the on/off button for about 5 seconds it does shut off. Overall happy thus far.
