I have no Idea, I do not believe I ever noticed that on any . But my girls love them and they are better then thr rawhide for them.

That is correct. You get a bag of pig ears that are cut in half. A whole pig ear would be rather large for a standard 'treat'.

Q: Are pig ears full of salt my dogs drinks a lot of water?

I don't know but I haven't had an issue.

Help when they are theething and looking for something to chew on.

The pig ears satisfy the need for the pets to chew on something other than furniture, wood objects etc---and they last a long time. The whole pigs ears are way to big for them and hard to break in half so I get the half pig ears.
