Gravelier Bike Seat (Saddle) - Fusion Form Base - Mountain, Gravel, Road & Bikepacking (4 Rail Options)

The kind of saddle WE ALL NEED! Long story, long. I broke my femoral neck back in '19 and the process of healing has been, umm, fill in with your favorite French word. After surgery, the wonderful addition of my internal prosthetic, I was able to walk again and even ride very shortly after my surgery that saved my leg and my life... so, just as any normal avid bicyclist I took to riding... with the docs permission.. I changed my bike seat so many times to find comfort again as my whole sitting area changed.. I've had super high end. 3D saddles, leather saddles, super thin to suspension seats... So, lack of better terms.. I've been around that block with these saddles.. and they've been places.. with the WTB Gravelier I put it on for a test ride.. brought all my tools for adjustments.. even extra water if the process took longer than I anticipated. I swung my leg over my trusty steel steed, and off I went.. I forgot all about my new seat.. forgot it was new, forgot it was there really. First ride 60 miles, no sit sores, no numbness, just a bike seat doing what it's supposed to do, make the ride enjoyable without being the center of attention. Do yourself a favor. Buy this seat.. it's comfort, power transfer and with the titanium rails... absolutely perfect. Looks fast, the design is superb, and just the right amount of firmness. It's the Goldilocks saddle.

Purchased the Gravelier for an aero bike after having issues with a stock Selle Italia. Extremely happy with the weight and comfort, especially at half the price of race saddles. I've owned 3 saddles from WTB and I've never had a problem with any of them.

I transitioned to this from a WTB Silverado that I have used for years, generally satisfied with the Silverado but hoping to relieve perineal pressure. This has not disappointed, decreasing pressure and discomfort in the nether regions during long rides. Form factor is smaller than the Silverado, especially in length, such that it almost seemed designed for children at first glance. With experience, though, it feels fine and does not seem to lose anything for the shorter length. I rate 4 stars only because it doesn’t quite reach the ideal of forgetting-it’s-there comfort, but is an improvement over anything I’ve used before.

I think I finally found the one! I’ve been searching for a saddle for my Grizl for a while now, and this is it! The moment I sat on the gravelier I could tell it was a good match. Honestly I had my doubts with such a small amount of padding, but it doesn’t even matter when the saddle fits you, and the flex of the seat just does its job wonderfully. I love it! It doesn’t feel like it gets in the way at all (it’s quite small and short) and really soaks up the bumps as well. I tried two different Ergon saddles and a Fizik saddle as they all had high praise, but still this one just fits me better. I know it’s subjective but this is a great saddle for the money. Highly recommend!

Was looking for a saddle to replace the one that came with my bike. I had been riding the same saddle for close to 8 years but only when I opted to go for some distance riding for over an hour did the original seat cause issues and that’s what prompted me to look for an alternative like this. The saddle has very little padding so a chamois is recommended. My first few rides were ok, I took it slow at an hour per session and I could feel other muscle groups becoming more engaged than with my previous seat. I did still experience numbness despite the relief cutout on this seat, and that was disappointing considering the price, though now it’s less now currently, surprisingly right after my exchange window closed. I had four rides in total before things started to feel like my old saddle, where I would forget the new saddle was even there. I did angle the seat after the fourth ride to -1 degrees which helped slightly for numbness and then went to -2 and that helped the most but still the seat did not relieve all numbness. With my old saddle I could sit on one sit bone to let circulation through if numb but with the relief cutout it’s not possible so intermittently standing to pedal helps get rid for numbness. The saddle is about an inch shorter than my original and it’s negligible I find. I’d also say I had my sit bones measured and reached out to WTB for help on choosing since I am using this on a mountain bike for a combination of single track, XC trail and distance riding. They made me use their odd wrist measurement which wasn’t accurate at all but wound up with a medium size despite my sitbone measurement already confirming that. The rails Infound made zero difference in ride coming from a steel rail saddle to a titanium I found the noise level to be the same which was none from the saddle. Durability is yet to be seen, it is holding up well after some 180 miles of riding since owning this and cleans up easily with a cloth.

I bought this to replace a WTB Rocket Race that I've ridden for the past 6+ years on an old CX bike and now a Cutthroat. I found the Rocket didn't allow much room in terms of positioning on the saddle. After a bike fit last year, I had to decide whether I wanted to optimal position for riding in the hoods, the drops, or a sub-optimal compromise between the two. Regardless of my hand position, the Rocket wanted to put me in the 'cup' shaped by the contour of the saddle, which wasn't always the best place to be. My sit bones wouldn't stay in a comfortable spot requiring constant adjustments during a ride to relieve pressure. I got the Gravelier for the flatter, more neutral profile and cut-out. I've only done a few indoor trainer rides and a mixed-terrain ride (some road and some single-track with a few chunky rock gardens). I found when I changed handlebar position, my sit-bones now automatically adjust to the position and pelvic tilt and stay in a supportive spot without having to think about it. That's a welcome change. The downside is that it's noticeably harder than the Rocket due to thinner padding/cushioning. I think I'll get used to it after a few more rides, so I'm still giving it 5 stars. I think it's going to be perfect for the kind of riding I do... long mixed-terrain endurance, bikepacking, and training indoors/road.

All the advice says that your saddle should be comfy, but mine weren't. My most comfortable saddle always felt like a board when I sat on it, but at least I didn't end up too sore after a 5 hour ride, the worst was agony for a week after. Turns out I have narrow sit-bones. WTB have an easy to use way of estimating sit bones, easier than the cardboard trick, you measure your wrist. Estimate was about the same as the other methods, and this was one of 3 saddles they recommended. It is reasonably light in Titanium version, ventilated and goes well with a titanium bike. Is it comfortable, well I don't notice the saddle anymore so I guess that is a yes. NB I have ridden multiple gravel rides on it including a 50 mile ride and plenty of rooty single track.

I don’t normally write a review but with this seat need to let people know considering putting this on a trail bike and not an actual gravel bike how I like it . I first bought the stainless version and tested on my cross country mountain bike . It was ok but wasn’t impressed. The titanium went on sale for $120 CAD so I bought it again and the titanium with the more compliant padding definitely felt better but I bought it for my trail bike . 2024 Stumpjumper pro full suspension. It’s pretty amazing after your butt gets used of the harder padding and thin profile. I like to do 50-80km at a time in some fairly demanding trails . When you get it dialed in you have a nice locked position but can so easily slide forward for climbing or back for descending. My other seat was the titanium volt , absolutely awesome seat but at around the 60km mark I would get pretty sore . The cutout and how freely you can move on this seat is great . So anyone considering this for a full suspension, mid travel trail bike . I say give it a try !! I wear very light padded shorts with it but even in jeans going for quick rip it’s pretty comfortable. I’ve had their koda . To flat for me , the rocket , ok for short rides , the pure , only recommend for 30km or less and the volt , love the volt on my cross country hardtail . This one should be good for 50 plus km . Hope that helps anyone who like me could not find barely any information on how this is on a regular mountain bike .
