VARMHUS NPT Female 316 Stainless Steel Full Port Ball Valve Vinyl Handle WOG1000 (1-1/4")

I got this to use for my grease trap on my cooker and lo and behold it stopper the flow of chicken fat.

Good product..

Unit is full port, turns tightly but without catching, and is threaded well, though the threading was a bit short.

This valve came with straight threads even though it is listed as NPT threads. It leaks from the threads after installing an NPT fitting in it. NPT threads are tapered to provide a seal and need to be installed in a taper NPT fitting. Straight threads, like British Pipe Tap threads, generally require a mechanical seal like a crush washer.

I love that I can find hard to find parts in here for the business. The durability and design is easy to use. It has a great seal and fixed the leak.

While this is a workable product I wouldn't use it for anything really important. There are not enough threads to be comfortable for any real pressure but, as a pond backwash drain, it works fine.

I replaced a 1.5" PVC ball valve with this stainless steel valve. The plastic valve lasted a couple years and was very difficult to turn on and off. This valve appears to be very well made and has a nice long handle which makes valve operation easy. So much better than the PVC valve. Yes, I would recommend this valve.
