Sperry Top-Sider Santa Cruz

It was time to replace my original Sperry Topsider Marine flip flops.I read the reviews of a large number of your offered flip flops by Amazon customers (Your customer reviews are one of the best items Amazon has to offer!), paying close attention to those contributors that lived in Central/South Florida, as we can and do wear flip flops pretty much all year long. I also pay attention to the number of people that have bought multiple pairs. I don't worry too much about the "blowouts" because they can happen at any time. Such is life. The Santa Cruz flips sounded like the way to go. And they are! Very comfortable, although just a wee bit snug when I first put them on; they'll stretch. The only places I don't wear them are to church and my 2 mile walk each night. (The walk is a fast-paces affair meant as exercise.) I wear them all day long and just love the support and comfort they afford my feet. They are also way better looking than my feet. I'm already contemplating buying another pair just in case Sperry quits making them. And am encouraging my wife to consider a pair. She's leanin'... These were delivered early; Amazon does not accommodate early delivery in their review process. That's regrettable, as I have received numerous orders early and really love it. Much thanks once again to you customers for your helpful reviews.Fast forward to July 26th, 2014. I've been wearing the these sandals for 5 month now on a daily basis, sometimes 16 hours at a stretch. I have only worn shoes all day for 4 days and regret 2 of those days, one of them being the day we spent at the Kennedy Space Center. I consciously ponder how great these flip flops feel on a daily basis. I have only made one mistake, I only ordered one pair and now Amazon doesn't have them. Consequently, I'm going hunting for another pair for the day down the road when these finally give it up.

I usually buy size 9 because size 10 is a little too big, but this pair of 9s is smaller than past size 9s and are quite tight. I probably should have returned them, but I am gambling they will stretch out enough to fit comfortably. These sandals are very well built and usually last me about three years of daily use. The quality is the same as always but they are smaller than they used to be. If the smaller size is not an anomaly, I would suggest you buy the next size larger than the size you usually buy. Other than the size problem, these are great sandals and I can highly recommend them. I would have given them a five star rating if the size hadn't changed so much. Get the right size and I think you will love these sandals.3/16/14 Update on sandals. My gamble paid off. They have loosened up and are now quite comfortable. It took a few months but now they are good for a few years. Five stars now!

I've purchased 2 pairs of these for my husband. He has been wearing the first pair for years and they are still in excellent shape. We expect that they will last for many more years. He loves them so much that I got the second pair and packed it away for the future, in case Sperry has stopped making them by the time we finally put the first pair to rest.Why are they excellent? First, the quality is sooo much better than similar shoes. As mentioned, he wears them daily during warm weather and they are just getting better and more comfortable with age. Second, they are very nice looking for a flip-flop. Much nicer than the average. And third, very importantly, the shoes aren't flat like most flip-flops. They curve in a way that molds beautifully to the shape of the foot, making them much more comfortable to walk in.These shoes may be more expensive than other similar shoes, but they are more than worth every single penny. You will buy 10 or more pairs of others in the time it takes for these to wear out. And those others won't be nearly as comfortable or attractive.

If you spend 1000.00 on a pair of flip flops your still a step down from a wore out pair on tennis shoes. People wear flip flops so they dont step on glass etc. So I am happy to report that my flip flops cover the bottoms of my feet. They work just as they should. Do they look nice? Well how do you feel about flip flops? Thats really the question here. I can personally vouch for the fact that Ive never had my wife walk the room naked and ready cuz she saw me in flip flops. Usually its just the opposite lol. Why do I have to say so much about flip flops? Because Amazon makes me write a minimum amount of characters when all I really needed to tell you is that you should never wear these to a funeral or a wedding unless that event is on a beach. If it is on the beach, then you should wear these flip flops if they are new and leave your old ones at home.

These Sperry sandals were bought as a gift for my husband. Once he finds a product he really likes, he wants to replace it with the exact same item when it wears out. Although, he usually doesn't notice that his sandals have done their time. I did expect these sandals to fit, feel and wear exactly as the ones he had worn out, since I ordered the exact same style, color and size. And he was thrilled. These sandals are great for everyday summer wear. They can get wet by the pool or ocean, and when they dry--you would never know they got wet. This is a quality item and worth its price, even if you have to pay full price. I just happened to catch the sandals on sale. Buy these for your husband, son or the man in your life. You will make him look good and he will feel loved because you gifted him with a great looking, comfortable, durable product with a name known for its quality.
