Great all around bat
Unlike most reviews the bat doesn't make your child hit the ball. A child must first be able to make contact with the ball. That being said here is my review. We took our time and rotated the bat 1/4 turn per hit when I was soft tossing to my son. After about 100 hits we then started regular batting practice still rotating the bat. The bat has plenty of pop. When the sweet spot is hit the ball rides very nice. This bat is comparable to many of the expensive bats both composite and aluminum. We have used an Easton s1, Rawlings 5150 exogrid and dimarini distance as well. The bottom line is this bat works well. Very little sting like the demarini. We are very excite to get around 200 or 300 more hits to see how it works. If history olds true with composite bats it will work even better. I am buying another one for my youngest son. Hope this helps.

Great bat for the price!
One of the cheapest composite bats I found, but works just as good as the more expensive ones. My 8 year old son really likes it! Be sure to hit with the bat about 100 times to break in the composite. Now that my son's is broken in it works great! So glad I didn't spend $200-$300 on another bat. I would definitely recommend this bat.

Not a good bat
This bat does not have enough pop. Also it has a very small sweet spot. Any ball hit on the inside or outside part of the plate will have a lot of vibration. This bat should cost $30. I am a power hitter, and this bat decreased my average by a lot. Do not get this bat. Go get a DeMarini voodoo, CF5, or CF6.

Great Bat
I got this bat for my son in little league. After just a few practices his batting power and confidence have soared.

2012 Catalyst....
Recently purchased this bat for my son. It was the cheapest 1-piece composite bat I could find that was approved for my son's little-league. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of this bat. It does not feel nor look like a budget bat. Best (and most importantly) of all, my son is taking to it very well, and line drives abound. It is recommended that you break this (or any composite bat)in by hitting several hundred pitches with it,turning the bat incrementally each time. This aids in breaking down the composite material, giving the bat increased "pop" when hitting. Definately would buy again.
