I really like this canopy
I really like this canopy, but you will need to make sure to weigh it down! You can buy weights or bags for this, or you can try the simple method, which is taking some empty grocery bags with you to the beach. Fill the grocery bags with sand and tie the handles around the poles. This method worked for us, but only after learning the hard way. Before we weighed it down, a gust of wind sent out canopy into the ocean! Just weigh down the poles and you'll be fine. The canopy is nice and big, plenty of room for 5 women, our cooler and beach cart. It's quick and easy to put up and take down. It is heavy, and the bag has wheels but keep in mind that you won't be able to roll that sucker onto the beach. Someone's gotta carry it. The case is also a bit longer, because the canopy is bigger. It wouldn't fit across the back of my SUV. I had to lay down one of the back seats to get it in. It wasn't a problem for us, but wanted to point that out for anyone who may not have the car/trunk space.

It's not that hard to put it up by one person.
The shade is easy enough to be setup by one person. The frame is made of Aluminum which is not that heavy (but it's too heavy to carry on your bag). It came in a wheeled bag but it is a long bag for dragging it by yourself, you may have a hard time though. Another drawback is the fabric is very thin. I received the item with a bit torn at one corner already (out of the package). It's just too much hassle to ship the whole thing back. I wish they would give me a replacement just for the cloth only.I use it in Southern California and at the back of my patio so hardly any strong wind. I am not sure how would it stands at the beach though.02/01/16 update---there was a very strong wind last night, the news said 40 - 60mph. I was worried about the tent. I couldn't put it down in the wind so I lower the leg. It managed to stay against that strong wind so I give it one more star :-)

Not advertised correctly
I feel like I got a little ripped off on this one. It was advertised as a 12 ft tent and it's roughly a 9ft tent. The packaging says it all, 12ft x 12ft is 144ft, not 81 ft which would be 9ft x 9ft. I guess it's my fault for not looking the product over before I bought it. I saw 12ft tent and went with it. I was replacing a different 12 footer that got damaged in a heavy rain storm. I knew something was up when I used it for the first time and it just didn't seem nearly as big. Come to find out it's about 60 square feet smaller than what I had before. Otherwise it works fine. Quality is so-so. I paid almost 3 times as much for the actual 12 footer from Lowe's which seemed sturdier than this one.

Fine for me
Well, I really like this canopy. It was pretty easy to put up by myself, only needed an extra hand once or twice. I live in Houston and have left this canopy up for a year without taking it down. We have had some really bad wind this year and this thing has done great. I got the weights to put on each leg, actually a double set, and haven't had a bit of trouble. I did lower it 2 times (used the buttons on the legs) because the wind was so bad. I have never had water pool on the top. The only problem now is tiny leaks where the material has constantly rubbed on the joint areas of the metal, again from the wind. Mine does actually measure 12 x 12 ft. I'll be ordering a new one but this time I'll waterproof it to see if it will last a little longer.

I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone
I am 6'6". I FIT!! As all tall people know, these things force us to duck to get under them. This one as several height adjustment choices and I walk under the sides with LOTS of room to spare and that isn't the highest setting!! I also took it camping for a week with moderate winds. I did use some extra tent stakes to help hold it down and this thing held up with no issue!! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone, especially my fellow tall people!!

Tent goes up very easy- one person can manage it. Same with putting it up, very easy. We use this tent as rain protection at work and it is definitely waterproof. Very lightweight though, you must use weights in windy conditions or it will fly away.

The Canopy arrived in it's wheeled top zippered case inside a cardboard box. It couldn't be easier to set up and put the top on it! We had 5 beach chairs under it, and would be no problem with 6 . No issues here.

This is a 9 foot by 9 foot tent not a 12 foot by 12 foot as described in details here
I wanted a 12 foot by 12 foot tent. Bought this one based on description but alas, it is only 9 foot by 9 foot. It even says in the description - 81 sqft of shade (81sqft is 9 x 9).Don't be fooled - this is not a 12 by 12 tent.
