Port Authority Women's R Tek Fleece Vest

After reading all the reviews posted on Amazon about this and many other vests I bought this one in black in a medium. I wear a size small to medium in tops, and medium in coats and vests, and a medium in this vest fit perfectly. The fabric is of medium (not light and not heavy) weight and is very warm. The cut is trim, slimming, and not bulky, and the collar looks nice and lays down if you don't zip it up too far. I will probably never dry it in the dryer in case of shrinkage, because it fits perfectly now. The length is good--not too short--vests shouldn't be too short I think (the picture shows it as rather short). I plan to buy it in a few other colors because the black doesn't look good with my blue jeans.Here is my update on the navy vest I ordered after I received the perfect black vest: I ordered the exact same vest in the same medium size from JOES USA here on Amazon, because a navy medium wasn't available from Amazon Prime in the 2 day shipping, etc, and it took about a week to receive and was WAY big on me...fit like an XXL, not a medium. Very strange. I am now trying to return it. If I have any problems returning it I'll add that as well, and leave both the vest and the seller a 1 star. Seriously, you may want to be aware that the sizing from this seller is totally different.

The fabric of the vest and zippers are of good quality, but unfortunately the quality of the sewing is bad. The black zipper against a bright pink fabric really stands out, but when it’s not straight, it really stands out. I ordered a large and it fit okay. The arm holes are a bit large, and it is a bit snug for a large, but wearable if you don’t have a heavy top under it. I needed a vest for a camping trip and kept it, but due to the poor workmanship, it would not have been a suitable a gift.*********** Edit to my first review. 88888I have had this vest for almost two years and it's still going strong. Since the zipper was not very straight, I have worn this vest for the dirty jobs, gardening, dog to the vet, cleaning the cutters, etc. It has been machined washed and dried many times and is still going strong. The color and fabric have held up well, and the zippers are working great. I felt it deserved a better review that what I first gave.

This vest has an added bonus for me. Now it is not perfect but it is thick. It did have an issue in the wash but that is my fault I through it in with towels so it had nubs of cotton on it when I took it out of dryer. But by second wash I knew better than to throw in a towel with it and it was okay next time.So what is the added bonus? I will tell you the pockets. Inside of the vest the lining is so thick behind the front pockets there is an inside pocket. The vest is very roomy and warm. I can fit my i pad mini in it! You can easily fit a small e-reader too. I stick my headphones on and wear it with my ipad mini which is loaded with synched tunes from my laptop and audiobooks. I am a student so I can study or listen to lectures while wearing this vest. I did not expect it. Even my Northface vest does not have pockets this big with a place for something like an i pad mini. I think I will buy another. Good for the winter and cold weather. Cozy.

My mother likes her new vest. It fits her perfectly with a little room for thicker tops, shirts or sweaters. The fabric is warm, soft, plush, and the zipper zips smoothly. There is a flap (under) on one side of the zipper so that when you zip the vest up, the wind cannot get in.The 2 pockets have zipper closures. These pockets are great and inside there are 2 pockets made from the outside pockets.We have not wash the vest so I don't know how it will hold up to washings. Some fleece balls up after a few washings. We hope that this vest will keep its shape and look. Thank U.

Excellent warm, well-made vest. I can't say enough about the classy looking way this garment is structured, including the black trim. I like that is has great stretch retention which allows it to expand and/or shrink according to my needs around the middle. The thick fabric has give to it but doesn't pull thin or tug against the seams because it's excellent fabric and carefully sewn together. It is very warm and I find that I like to pair it with a heavy-weight cotton long sleeved top or my cotton v-neck cable knit sweaters. It would be best suited for turtle or mock necks in my opinion. My vest is Charcoal Heather and it virtually looks good with everything. I plan to buy it in Pink and maybe White.

I am so disappointed! Disappointed that I didn't buy 2 or 3 of these vests! It's warm and fuzzy, pretty color, looks good on me. I normally wear an XL in shirts, but took a risk and followed others' advice and got large. It fits great over a t-shirt, and last night I wore it over a sweatshirt hoodie. I really, really love the zipper pockets and the deep pockets on the inside. I don't carry a purse, just a few essentials like my phone, keys I.D., credit card and chapstick. Every thing goes in the pockets and I don't have to worry about dropping my phone like I do if it's in a sweater or jeans pocket.Price is great too. I'm getting another one!

I love the material of these! However please listen to me ... I read reviews that said these run a little large, but I am ALWAYS a medium and sometimes a large, so I got a medium, of course. I should have gotten a small. These do run big and do not shrink, sadly in this case. Usually I am capable of shrinking everything I own, but could not shrink this. The material is awesome, very warm. It does not pill and holds up well. I bought a black and gray one. The black one ran a tad bit smaller than the gray one I bought. I think I'm on my fourth wash of the gray one without wearing it, praying for some shrinkage. I am able to wear the black one though. Good luck!

I had an old one with my company's logo on it I liked. But it was wearing out. I had a lot of trouble finding a thicker fleece vest in Navy for a women that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Everything was really thin or strange colors. I finally thought to look in the label of the vest I loved, and looked this brand up online. I found it here for a reasonable price, and it fit as expected.I am finally happy to have a navy fleece vest without any corporate logo. The price was great. Very happy.
