MT20DL Battery Adapter, Compatible with Makita 18v Lithium Battery, Convert to Dewalt 18v-20v Lithium Batteries, Work Compatible with Dewalt 18v-20v Cordless Power Tools

It works perfectly to run my "made for a DeWalt battery" large-ish-mini chainsaw on my already-plentiful and always maintained Makita 18v batteries. The "...for DeWalt battery " mini chainsaw is beefier and larger, with a longer bar than the one I have that was made for my Makita batteries. I like to keep my battery charging process simple by leaving the adapters attached to the tools so I can use my Makita batteries on everything just like I do my Makitas. For me, it's worth it for each non-Makita tool to have it's own adapter. These adapters are so reasonably priced, it's not a big deal to buy one every time I choose to get a cordless tool outside of my "cordless tool system". Maybe it's a deep-discounted sale price, and sometimes it's customer reviews or certain features that make a tool from another "system" preferable for me. Regardless of why, it sure is nice being free to get whatever brand and be able to run it on my current (no pun intended) batteries. I have a lot of projects going on all the time, so losing things or forgetting to charge other brands' batteries and not having that tool always ready to use, well, that just won't work for me. Every single tool being top rated at the best price and it's easy to slap a battery on without battery juggling, hmmm... yes, that does work for me. Because of these awesome adapters, I've been able to dramatically improve my personal stash and selection of cordless tools, which, without the cost savings, I couldn't have done at all without battery adapters opening up the whole world of tools. Every one I've ever gotten works perfectly, and this one is no exception. It lives on the chainsaw now, always there, waiting for me to need a mid-mini-size chainsaw, which will always be pretty soon. Makita is really expensive. Sometimes we adopt red or yellow or even orange or blue tools for free, or we find them at yard sales for huge discounts because there's no charger and no batteries, but we bet like $5 that this $250 tool works, and, almost always, it works perfectly. Bravo to anyone who figured out this "affordable tool hack" like I did, and congrats on your new yellow tool. Any flat-slide-on DeWalt (or " for DeWalt ") tool will run great on Makita batteries with this adapter; I do just that, every day, with various tools, and at least two times a week with this exact, particular adapter. This Functions Perfectly. I seriously can't recommend these enough, or get across well enough just how much more useful I, personally, am. My tools are like extensions of my hands. Sometimes they're a different color. And that's totally okay. Five Stars, ten more stars if I had ten to give, an air-fist-bump, and my tool-lovin' gratitude to the folks that make these adapters, which I think of as magical toolbox expanders that my miserly wallet just flat-out worships. This, right here, is the way for me to collect any kind of cordless tool, from any brand, and power them all as simply as if they all came together in one set. This one is for Makita batteries running DeWalt slide-on battery style (not the kind with the post that sticks up) tools. Highly Recommended by me, and if I could, I'd happily offer it with a friendly handshake and a kindred kind of smile you can see in my eyes, because I'd bet most of those who read this whole review like tools just as much as I do.

This battery adapter works perfectly for a vacuum pump I purchased designed for Dewalt batteries. All of my tools are Makita and my Makita batteries fit perfectly and power my pump. Thanks for a great product.

Good fit and works well

I had a bunch of Makita batteries and had been given a gift of a power inverter for them. Unfortunately, the inverter was for DeWalt type batteries. I purchased this adapter and it fit and worked perfectly. It is easy to use. I haven’t had a need to use it yet so I cannot speak of durability.

Got this for my husband! So far he says it works great!

Works like a charm, my Makita battery powers my DeWalt Brad nailer perfectly. The adapter is slim and essentially unnoticeable, I just leave it on the tool permanently.
