Hayward TracVac Automatic Pool Vacuum for Inground Pools Suction Cleaner

Hayward TracVac works great. Tracvac travels and cleans the whole surface of the pool including climbing the walls. I am very happy with purchase of Tracvac, because it is easy to maintain. For example if debris and little rocks click on the vane of cleaner, it is easy to clean up. They are other varieties of Hayward cleaners, but this particular cleaner works great. Easy to install and maintain.

Pricey but Works awesome.

This may be the worst $500 pool vacuum you can possibly buy. We've had it for a little over a month and it constantly just stops moving (need to be nudged), gets stuck in corners, and the gears lock up. I need to find a way to see if Hayward has any willingness to backup their product because it is awful. Because of the poor performance, I'm developing black algae that I also need to deal with. This appears to be a product that the manufacturer devoted more time to figuring out how to make it break to make you pay for replacement parts, repairs, and ultimately so it fails in a few years than they did in figuring out how to make it do basic functions like move. So if you want something that costs over $500, will stop working every few days, and causes more money issues because it doesn't clean your pool, this is the one for you.

This is my third cleaner, I had fo awhile a Navigator, and honestly no the best cleaner, then a crawling cleaner (the one with a rubber round pad that uses vacuum to make the system to “ jump” by intermittent suction of the membrane) which was ok, but followed a path that could not be altered, and now I have this unit which is really amazing, I got it since my crawly is depreciated, and what a nice surprise, my pool has its own vacuum line, so I just plugged it in, and I saw the results in no time, we have pollen in our area so precipitation in the bottom of the pool is unfortunately normal, and now I do not see it, I had this cleaner already for almost a month, and it is performing a very good job, it is well designed, easy to install, and also easy to maintain. Do not hesitate if you are deciding what to buy, this product is worth every penny.

Light weight is correct, works really well, but it does climb the steps and sometimes get stuck, it even came apart once, but it was an easy fix. Happy I got it.

I’m adding this part after 9 months of use. When it worked it worked great but after only 9 months of use some of the internal plastic parts broke and it’s impossible to get replacement parts to fix this so BOTTOM LINE I’m OUT $500.00 IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR. I WONT BY ANOTHER POOL CLEANER ON AMAZON AGAIN ONLY FROM A LOCAL POOL STORE WITH A MINIMUM OF 3-5 YEAR WARRANTY. BUYERS BEWARE!!!! At first I was not happy with this sweeper but after about 4 days of properly adjusting my pool pump settings everything works even better than hoped for and my pool is crystal clear each and everyday. Placing the floats in the correct spot on the first hose is crucial to keeping it upright always on its own. It’s important to have your pump on the highest settings but it is just as important to have the flow of your water through your whole pool on the correct settings for the sweeper to properly climb and clean the walls. If your sweeper does not climb the walls it is because your settings on your pool water is not correct especially if you have a spa connected to your pool. The set up is extremely easy and in no time at all you will have this going as soon as you get it out of the box. This a great and economical product in my humble opinion.
