Superb mower
What a great lawn mower. Having never used this make before I was a little apprehensive. The grass got a little long because my other broke, but this lawnmower didnt care. It glided over the long grass with ease and did the perfect cut. The grass was a little wet too but it didnt care. It is heavier than my last mower but nothing of concern. Starting it up is easy and unlike my last mower, this does not give you finger ache holding down the handle to keep it going. Even though its a heavy mower, its so easy to move when you get cutting the grass, it actually start to feel light! Comes with two batteries, i do not have a lot of grass but on a full charge, I use about half a battery. I expected a bit better but saying that, I do have a spare as they provide you with two! You can also press a button on the batteries to see what charge they have. Emptying the mower is easy and so is cleaning it. Got the mower on offer, because of this i would say it is great value for money...if it lasts.

Great Mower ( on first impressions!)
Like many others, I did a bit of research before choosing what is my first battery mower. I am really pleased with the 41cm size. The mowers is a great size and weight. It feels well made and is easy to assemble. All battery mowers seem to have some sort of compromise so research carefully before making your choice as I think you could be disappointed if you do not. I purchased this model because of the following features - The Pros- The easy he cut height adjustment The slightly larger rear wheels Single battery power Compact fold away 41cm cut Ergonomic soft handle Easy manoeuvrability After assembly I cut my already relatively short grass and list my initial perceived negatives- Cons - Lowest height setting not very short( as commented on by another reviewer but not really a problem to me as I think grass is better cut a little longer unless you want a bowling green!) Grass collection box , although great being collapsible for storage, seem a little flimsy To summarise, I think itโs a great mower and would definitely recommend anyone considering such a machine to consider it. Itโs very early days for me but I think it will prove to be a good choice. I would have given 5 stars if the grass box had been better made and the lowest cut lower( for the benefit of those who would prefer a tighter cut) UPDATE!! Like many products, it is now ยฃ100 cheaper just a couple of months after I made my purchase!! i have bought the excellent hedge trimmer from the same Greenworks family and want to purchase the chain saw and other items but I will be looking closely at the prices before I do !!

Very good at what it was made for, a relief to use something so easy
This lawn mower is a cracker. It is relatively easy to put together. Charge the batteries when you get it. The folding of the 'handle' is going to be easier and more familiar the longer I use it. The grass bag is plenty big enough and the cutting width is superior to my last skinny mower. On first use a few days ago (after the masses of rain we have had dropped enough for the grass to dry for a cut) it took me a lot less time to mow the back garden. The best part is there's no cable to unfold, get the kinks out of it, plug it in and run it under the door into the garden and so on. Then to have to keep moving it out of the way... None of that any more. The batteries are large, but I'm not sure about the longevity of a charge just yet. Two batteries, one in the mower at a time, so great if your garden is a little too large for one battery to cope with. Now the grass will be an awful lot easier and less daunting to keep it looking good. At first use the mower isn't as heavy as it looks. Once built it looks like a substantial product and should last long enough to make the price less of an issue over the years ahead. Power wise it has done well on first use, hope that continues. I like it and for anyone else wondering about swapping over to a cordless mower, give it a go. It will give you more time for other stuff, especially if you don't like mowing.

Greenworks cordless mower 41cm
Had this for a couple of months now so I can give it a good test, having only used corded mowerโs before I was a little apprehensive that a battery mower would be powerful enough and wouldnโt keep stalling every time it hit long grass or uneven ground but I can report I had no such problems. One of the biggest plusโs is the sense of freedom and not worrying about running over the power cable.the grass box is a good size and easy to empty. The battery lasts for about 3/4 of my lawn which isnโt a problem as it comes with 2 batteries. It took a little while to figure out how to raise & lower the cutting height as the instructions werenโt very clear but once that was worked out it was good to go. All in all itโs an excellent mower and I would recommend

Great quality
Just got my new Greenworks lawnmower, I am delighted. The build quality is very good, feels very sturdy and the electric motor has lots of power. I completed mowing grass in no time and it looks great. The grass box filled well and was easy to put on and take off. Very happy.

Impressed!
With fields to 3 sides my garden is more of a flint riddled, mole hill infested, bumpy, sloping heath than Kew Gardens...mowers here don't get an easy ride and whilst my old petrol driven Power Devil is hanging in there it only starts with easy start and more rips the grass out than cuts it these days. The idea of a leccy mower appealed (no petrol fills/oil changes/carb strip downs!) but the price didn't. Took the plunge at ยฃ210 with 2 x 40Ah batteries, charger and mulching attachment on a Black Friday deal as reviews were good - first chance to use was last week with second cut today. Assembly was straight forward but the thin metal and plastic used along with sometimes vague instructions do give an impression of cheapness. On the plus side it has well thought out features such as easy grass box attachment, folding handle with quick release levers (though these don't exude quality) and easy battery access. Changing the cutting height isn't obvious although this wasn't helped by the red push-fit plastic indicator toggle having broken off - this was fixed with a cable tie through the hole to indicate height. Changing height raises and lowers all four wheels and isn't required separately on each wheel as some do. Although the listing says upto 600 sqm it'd have to be billiard table smooth and only in need of a top cut trim to get anywhere near that, with approx 370 square meters of wilderness to keep under control I'd scheduled a tea break half way through to recharge the batteries (the mower's, not mine...) so with height set to 4 (second highest) out of 5 off we went for the first cut. Push a button, pull the lever and the motor spins to life. It's not whisper quiet but then a 4 stroke 150cc with a blown exhaust certainly isn't... First impressions was the lightness - it must be half the weight of the old metal decked petrol mower, easy to maneuver and work in and around bushes, trees etc. No need for self propel drive that was a requirement for a petrol driven replacement. After approx 25 mins you can hear the motor straining on the longer grass before it finally gives up, quick change of battery and 25 mins later what was a pasture now resembled something under control! A new record as it normally takes 90+ mins, a tank of fuel and I'm covered in dust at the end. Same experience today on height #3 (halfway). In total I reckon I cleared 3 or 4 heaped wheelbarrows of grass on both batteries before they expired, it'll be interesting to see what happens when things really get growing later in the summer and how long the batteries last as they wear. I always leave rechargeable batteries a good 15 minutes to cool after use before putting on charge, each 2Ah battery takes about 40 mins to charge from flat to full. I've yet to try the mulching attachment and how that'll affect mowing or battery life; likewise durability, availability and cost of spares like batteries, blades, grass boxes etc is yet to be seen. So in summary it's well designed, light, quiet, efficient and 2 cuts in it seems to do the job. Even the gamekeeper next door was impressed! On the downside it won't get you anywhere near 600 sqm of advertised coverage and being plasticy I can't see it lasting the distance as long as my old ยฃ85 petrol mower but I'm pleasantly surprised and with no filling, servicing, or mechanics expected I'm happy at this price point.

WOW!!
I honestly never thought I would be excited about a lawn mower, but here I am. What an absolute beast, so positively surprised and honestly in awe. We had a 31cm corded lawn mower that was just becoming too much hassle to use with climbing to plug the extension lead in, having to move the lead all the time whilst mowing, it kept clogging and cutting the engine, too small grass collection bag, etc, so we were actually looking for a big fuel mower or a robot mower when I came across this. Our lawn was, mildly put, heavily over grown due to us being away on holiday and we were ill right before we left so it must have been 90 days of wild growth. Long grass, lots of weeds and assorted wild flowers. Lots and lots of dandelions. It was dry on top but very dewey just below, so I didn't think we would be all that successful mowing it, thought we might need to get the strimmer out and get the worst of it. I was so wrong! It cut it like it was absolutely nothing, not once did it even sound like it was having any trouble, despite having such a big surface area to cut in one go with the 41cm blade. The grass collection bag is big so it was really heavy with that wet grass in it, but fairly easy to just lift straight up off the little hooks- no need to tilt it like on some other mowers. Despite the mower being heavy it didn't feel heavy to operate, and I think the weight helped us get the most even cut I think we have ever had. You know it's good when the husband keeps looking out the back door, nodding to himself. We bought this from Amazon Warehouse and got an absolute bargain, maybe that was why my expectations were medium. It was very easy to assemble, although very heavy to lift out of the box so if you don't have the ability to lift heavy you might want to get someone to help you or cut the box so you can wheel it out. Be aware there is a physical barrier stopping it from collecting grass out of the box, you have to remove this under the flap on the back if you want it to deposit grass in the collection bag. I didn't notice on the first pass, so had to do another pass and move the blade lower- but it was my pleasure to do it all again. Our garden is 4x5 meters and I cut it twice, plus the front garden that is just a patch of maybe 1.5x1.5 meters, that all combined used up one full battery charge. Much larger gardens might need 2 batteries, but for us one charge will be more than enough to do all of it once+strimming just the edges. We are so impressed we just ordered the strimmer from the same company so we can use the same batteries. I have a feeling we might end up buying the hedge trimmer tool as well before Spring. Will be highly recommending this to my friend who was just mentioning about needing a new mower.

Very poor battery life
On first use I thought I'd check battery life so looked at my watch as I started mowing. The battery lasted approximately 8 minutes. I was very surprised as I expected more than that. I loaded the second battery and used a proper timer this time. 8 minutes 18 seconds. Giving me a total mowing time of a little over 16 minutes. If it's similarly bad next time I mow the mower is going back. I think I've just made a very expensive mistake.
