Works great so far. Direct replacement, great value for the money. Perfect compatibility. Easy repair. Durable and stronger motor than the original. Only downside to this is the belt spindle is forward threaded instead of reverse threaded like the original so when installing you have to be careful not to loosen it when tightening the motor to the fan.

This was an almost exact replacement motor for my old Kenmore dryer. The Molex connector on the dryer's wiring harness fit the motor connector perfectly. Instead of flats on the shaft for a 7/16" wrench so you can unscrew the blower, the outer flange of the pulley is hex shaped to fit a 7/8" wrench. That is the only difference I was able to notice.

My husband installed this dryer motor when ours stopped working and he said it was simple to install. It was an incredible value instead of having to replace the entire dryer and I don't notice any difference in my dryer's performance between this motor and the original one.

i had run this new motor in my amana dryer for a grand total of one hour. it was noisier than my previous motor, but i thought maybe because it wasnt OEM part that was just the way it was. all of a sudden there was a loud pop! and i smelled burning. i got my clothes out of there and tore the dryer apart (after opening my fuse box and finding my breaker had thankfully tripped) and found the motor obviously had caught on fire and had melted the wires up to my control board on my dryer. needless to say one cheap motor repair is going to cost me a whole new dryer! also? i looked at the box it came in AND IT HAD A RETURN PACKING SLIP ATTACHED TO IT! someone had returned this motor and they sent it on to me just like it was new! and good luck talking to amazon reps- ill be lucky to get my money back at this rate. buyer beware.

This was a perfect replacement for the part #3395652, model S58NXMKE-6674 motor from my 1997 Whirlpool LGR8857E gas dryer. Shipping was fast and the motor was well packed in styrofoam inside two boxes. I attached photos of both the old and new motors side by side. The wiring harness is a perfect match. The amperage is slightly higher as my old one was 5.9 and this one 6.2. The installation went well after the nightmare of a job removing the old one. After watching a bunch of YouTube videos with lots of removal tricks, I finally had to cut the blower wheel off from the back with a multitool. Definitely buy a blower wheel. I advise opening the back just to clear lint from the exhaust. I also replaced roller wheels, cycling thermostat, fuse, and solenoids while I had it apart. The dryer is running great now. I sort of doubt I'll get another 27 years out of it with the new motor, but who knows?!

Worked well. The longer shaft casued the new fan to rub against housing. I had to cut off the tip of each blade and file for it to clear. Now everything is working fine. This was listed as a direct replacement, I couldn't really pull it and measure prior to ordering. This was for a 2014 Kenmore dryer.
