Very well made and durable. Hopefully I will never have to use it but feel confident in it holding up if I do.

Huge. Haven’t had to use it yet but bring it with me on every walk. I have a 6 month old pit bull and Reddit says I should have one of these in case he latches onto something a refuses to let go. My dog is gentle but at the end of the day he is an animal and he could bite something or someone so best to be prepared. Honestly think every dog owner should have one. For those who say their dog would never bite is naive. That’s like saying a human will never kill. Under the right circumstances instincts kick in.

This seems sturdy and effective, but it is so big, I cannot imagine carrying it while dog walking.

I have 250 plus pound pit bulls. I took him over to my parents house and they were fine in the backyard ended up fighting over a over a human-sized tree branch. We got the dog separated none of them were seriously injured, but hands are meant to be nowhere near their heads if they ever get they're bite locked in. Order this for mom (grandma) so she could rest easier. Been 5 months and the dogs are fine, but, just in case..

If you do protection work these are a must have to get the dog to release, or if you just want to have a safety break stick I highly recommend this. It’s plastic so it won’t damage the dogs teeth. If you have an aggressive dog then buy the small one because these are pretty big. I have a German Shepherd and the medium size one is very big.

This item is sturdy and I would assume indestructible. But, I am an ACO and take issue with this being marketed as a dog toy. Its point is sharp and can be dangerous to human or animal if used by a novice thinking it is a toy. This is a break stick used to break a bite grip of a dog that has clamped down on a person or other animal. This break stick is sturdy however. And I believe it will be a useful tool in part because of the pointed tip. I have used break sticks in the past with a straight or blunt end and it is quite difficult to get behind the back molars to break the grip. I also had to wrestle with my conscience buying a product made in China. China is a country that has a market for dog meat with the animals being kept in deplorable conditions as they wait to die, a horrid practice. But unfortunately I have been unable to find an American made break stick that works well. While I must give it high marks for the purpose it was intended, I would love to see Amazon change the marketing of these sticks for the buyers and animals safety.
