The tape is 16 feet long. It would depend on the size of the type font, the type of label you're printing, and the amount of information in the label. If you have one label 16 feet long, then one. If you have one label 1 inch long, then 192 labels.

No, the individual cartridges are disposable. I think this is how Brady is able to offer the printers so cheaply, they make their money from the cartridge sales.

What are the pros and cons of cloth vs vinyl vs polyester?

The cloth is very durable but not laminated so it can become dirty over time and is difficult to remove. I use it on cable labels. The Vinyl is laminated and easily cleaned but not very flexible so it is not recommended on curved surfaces like cables. I am not sure about polyester. It may be the same as cloth. The lamination protects the label in vinyl.
