Got it for my spouse so she doesn't feel like she has to exhaust herself just to keep up with me and I don't have to remind myself to slow down. I was a bit sceptical of the device and did not have high expectations at first. I was pleased to learn that it works as advertised. Environment: we use our SUPs on a local river with very slow flow of water during summer months. There are weeds and occasionally they will get stuck in the propeller housing. If that happens stop the engine, pull out fail-safe so it doesn't accidentally starts and have your partner reach under and clear weeds out. You can do it by yourself but with the battery pack obstructing you might have difficulty doing it yourself. Set up: putting everything together is easy, but it helps if you have a partner to help carry the device, battery, attachments, as well as the board and the paddle. The remote and the device sync immediately and work very well to control the motor. Tips: get yourself one of those soft African weaved baskets so that you can carry all of the stuff and then keep the basket on your SUP, attached. Speed and battery: we were able to get almost 2 hours going 5mph or 7.5kmh on high setting. This is definitely fast enough for my spouse to keep up with me and even wear me out, going at full speed without the motor for this long. We did not run out of battery during the two hour sprint. According to the instructions we could do 5 hours on low speed, but we haven't try that yet. Battery charge time is as advertised, under 4 hours. Experience: my spouse really enjoyed it and felt like she could focus on the nature, sky, birds and enjoy the SUP ride instead of catching up with me. She went with me several times much further than we would typically go together. As for me, well, I just enjoyed watching her effortlessly go right next to me with a smile while I am "working out" on my SUP without the motor. A few times during our rides the high speed mode changed to low speed automatically, but every time this was due to a leaf or a weed getting stuck inside the motor. I hope it keeps working as it goes. One thing that I think they could improve is to add some kind of battery gauge to know how much juice is left.

We absolutely love these electric fins! I purchased 2 of them in August 2024. We have used them on fresh and salt water. The batteries last as advertised. We recently used them on the ocean in lots of floating seaweed and shallow areas of the Florida Keys. No problems. Used reverse to clear seaweed when needed but never got clogged. Traveled 8 miles on a paddleboard in breezy, choppy conditions, against tide. Battery lasted 4.5 hours! During storage over the winter I charged the batteries a few times. When we went to use them last week the remote batteries were dead. I was able to pry it open and replace the batteries but it didn’t look like they were made to be opened and wouldn’t snap closed again so I used electrical tape to seal them closed again. Worked fine. I don’t see a way to order extra remotes but would like to buy some extras. It looks like this product is unavailable at this time. I hope they restock. Great product.

The fin itself is nice but the adapter is made of poor quality and shattered when first used.

Working good. Wish the battery had a charge indicator. Will update. Update after one year. Remote is no longer working. No way to check the battery in sealt remote. Canary to order new remote for $40. No confidence in product. No customer support. Just got the new remote. Works great. Change rating back to 4 stars.

Amazing Performance! It’s easy to put this fin on my paddle board. It’s easy to charge the battery & only takes 4 hours to charge. I love the wrist controller. There are 2 speeds: Drive & Sport Mode. Drive mode lasts for 5 hours & makes you move slower than the Sport mode. Sport mode gets you moving at a trolling motor pace, which is perfect for me. I can keep up with other paddle boarders hands free. I’m able to be in the river longer because I’m not tired. I bought a stadium seat so I can sit comfortably on my paddle board. This powered SUP fun is nice but not as advertised. The battery life is as advertised. It will last for five hours on normal drive mode. That means you can spend a good amount of time paddling around and having a good time so long as you only use the drive mode. The advertised speeds for the drive and sport mode settings are nowhere near the advertised speeds. I could barely achieve 3 mph on sport mode with a tailwind. Overall, it is a fun addition to a SUP, but in my evaluation not worth paying the normal pricing for it. Wait for it to go on sale if you’re looking to purchase one. I would give this product a five star rating if one of following scenarios existed. 1. The product actually produced the thrust necessary to achieve the advertised speeds. OR 2. The price point were around $300 for the current product. Again, not worth the $400+ price.

I must rewrite my review for the product and their costumer service. After two months of using it,I love the product, it truly made my paddling, enjoyable and efficient as well as effortless! Their customer service was very good in reaching out and helping me to replace my remote control. I would definitely buy again from them. Highly recommended.!
