Craftmade CH1415-OBG Designer Metal and Glass Door Chime, Oiled Bronze Gilded (9.5"H x 6.75"W)

This is a very nice looking doorbell and cover, especially for my southwestern house. I went for the non-lighted model because I don't really need or want a light source where it's installed. It has a classy but sorta cyberpunk look that is cool. I've actually gotten compliments on it. Yeah, on my doorbell. 🤔 Installation was (mostly) easy. It would have been a snap, but the existing doorbell (I just recently bought this house) had this funky multi-tune doorbell and had a jumper at the doorbell button outside. Took me a bunch of time to figure out that was the problem, but once I did, it worked like a charm. The doorbell looks great and is fairly loud, but I like that because I have a big house with high ceilings, so I can hear it from anywhere. Highly recommend.

I trolled Amazon for a while before I came across this doorbell chime. The reviews were good, and I liked that it didn't look like the same old, same old doorbell chime. The oiled bronze and tea-stained glass matches my hall light fixtures perfectly, it actually looks like a light fixture. Our electrician remarked on the quality/craftsmanship of it as he easily installed it. It has two tones (one ring for the back door and two for the front), and is loud enough for me (I wear hearing aids) to hear clearly upstairs in our large, quiet house. Not sure how clearly it'll be heard when there's crowd noise, but we'll have to wait on that. The casing can be installed horizontally or vertically. We chose vertical, and the "innards" are not noticeable from below. I'm happy to recommend this chime to others.

This is a nice looking doorbell chime. Constructed of metal and glass. Installs easily. You will need a transformer (sold separately). Doorbell sound is loud and clear, one chime for the front door and two chimes for the rear door. I would have rated it five stars but metal tab used to hang vertically was slightly bent upon arrival. As i attempted to bend the metal tab back into place the tab cracked. Fortunately I was able to invert the chime and use the tabs located on the bottom of chime, i.e. for a vertical hang the chime is invertible. Tabs are not visible while hung so cracked tab is hidden from view. Chime looks very nice on the wall. I recommend this chime.

Ordered Monday and received today (Wednesday). Very fast shipping and product was packaged well in foam to protect it. Install took maybe 10 minutes because I hooked up backwards so front door went ding and back door went ding dong. Simple reversed wires... Looks very nice. Glass and metal look much better than cheesy plastic covers. Is mechanical bell with xylophone type bell. Not the electronic ones that don't work with quick press and release of button. Actually goes ding dong and is loud enough to be heard throughout house. For me was worth the extra $30-40 it cost for the nicer look.

I spent a lot of time looking at doorbell chime covers, and this was at a price point I could afford. I am so happy I bought it because it really beats the white plastic cover I had up there before! :) Although it is more cheaply made than pricier models, this is more than adequate at this price point. If your chime cover is located up high, like most, you'll never notice the plastic covering. I'm so happy I went with this model, because it looks great. Note: a lot of people seemed disappointed that it was not back-lit. Just pay attention to the description, and you'll get exactly what the written description describes: no light!

A beautiful doorbell for our remodeled kitchen. It's made well, looks beautiful and the installation was quite easy. It simply replaced our old one which also had 2 classic chimes for the front door and one chime for the back door. I searched for a nice doorbell at all of the big name home stores only to be disappointed before finding this gem on amazon. I love it!

OK...I know its just a doorbell chime, but I went to the big box stores and was extremely unimpressed! Plastic garbage. So I turned to my old favorite, Amazon and was impressed by what was available. There were several that caught my eye. I liked this one because of the tea glass/Craftsman look. It is indeed metal, the glass looks great, and the chime sounds real nice as well. Shipped quickly from this seller, packed well. It looks so good, you want to somehow light it up, but currently it only chimes. Highly recommend if your looking for something different in door bells.

On the plus side the design of this is very attractive. It is easy to wire and install. The sound has a good timbre and is plenty loud. However, the construction is sub-optimal. The glass cover is heavy and not firmly affixed to the case. It only hangs in place. Second, it can't take anything more than 16V. It's really hard to get this working with a Ring doorbell or anything other than a simple button because the voltage gets changed by the camera draw. Unfortunately, the doorbell overheated, smoked, and melted. It would have caught fire and burned our house down if it didn't utterna dying ding ding whimper. Listen to the instructions. Don't overvolt it AT ALL.

Item was installed horizontally, the installers told me the door bell is to be horizontal, the picture shows it to be vertical. Further, styling is in the eye of the beholder. Also, door bell simply did not work, the mechanism was jammed, it was delivered broken, item is now in the garbage.
