This thing works!!!
So far it's unbelievable!! It climbs my outdoor pool walls with no problem!! Had a tree fall in the pool and it took 3 times to clean it up perfectly. Asked a question to the manufacture and answered within 12 hours!! Wanted to know the opening on the bottom because in the fall I get acorns in the pool. Opening is almst an inch and half. Should work fine. The reason there are not alot of reviews is it's new. But all are 5's and add me to that!! I did need to put the "floaters" in to get it to climb walls and stairs. you're see what they are when you buy one. Well worth it!!!!!

Quite disappointing
I was very excited to have a pool crawler that was not tethered but alas the results were disappointing. Not sure if there is enough battery to climb the walls or even make it to the steps. The crawler will pick of leaves or debris on the bottom but scrubbing as it goes is not a thing it does and I have to brush the pool once the crawler is done.I wish I would have returned this within the 30 days but I was really wanting it to work and let the 30 day lapse so I will now use this as a companion crawler to my moody Dolphin Nautilus CC plus.BOTTOM LINEThis is maybe a good crawler for an above ground pool but for a larger in ground pool with curves and steps I would recommend you avoid this crawler.UPDATEThe seller reached out to me and sent me a replacement crawler ( I wanted a refund but too much time had passed so it was kind of them to replace it) which was fantastic being the 1st crawler is now completely dead. The new one has power to get up the sides of the pool so I hope that the first one that seemed to be under powered and is now no longer functioning was just a bad unit. I'll updated this review after a few weeks of use.

I guess I expected more for the price.
As far as set up and directions it was very easy to figure out. What you should know is that it takes about 3 hours to charge and at least for the first time after opening your pool, you will have to run it a few times to get everything. But, after the first use, you have to wait for the charging port to dry out even if you tighten the cap all the way when it is in use. They do provide a tiny sponge to help with that but its is really flimsy. So, you will have to wait a while to charge it again. Like I said, I guess I expected more based on the 5 star reviews. It ran about 90 minutes before parking itself at the side of the pool so it was easy to retrieve out of the pool with the hook provided.

Battery life not good for our pool.
Our pool is a sports pool so does not have a deep end and is rectangular in shape. The battery on this only cleans for about 2/3 of the pool which is so frustrating, then it gets stuck in the center of the pool and doesn't go back to the side like it said it would to park. I believe if it's close to the drain in the center of the pool, the lack of suction at the end of the battery life allows it to be sucked into the middle drain. Based on prior reviews, I thought it would clean our whole pool but was disappointed. It's frustrating for this is not an inexpensive cleaner. I would make sure you find a pool cleaner where the battery will clean the whole pool this takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to fully charge which it too long. It climbs walls as long as it's the beginning of the cycle, toward the end, it doesn't have enough to climb walls.

Surprisingly good
Wasn’t expecting much because the name brand robotic cleaners are about 3 times the price but this really does the job! Even climbs the walls. Leaves, debris, even a small dead rodent swept up.My pool is 17x36 feet and it can easily clean it on one charge. If you use it when first opening your pool, and the water is really cloudy, tie a float to it! I lost mine for about a week until my pool cleared up enough to locate it, lol

Junk - Didn't Last 2 Summers
First one lasted one summer and failed in the fall. Warranty was extremely difficult to deal with and that dragged you out hoping you'd go away. They finally sent a replacement unit and it was clearly a refurbished model as the door wouldn't close properly. It lasted another summer.Cheap Chinese crap. Do not buy.

Quite the wall climber
This thing weighs about 17 pound and you just throw it in the pool and let it work. Runs for about 2 hours and stops somewhere on the bottom. Climbs wall and cleans just above the water line. Seems to spend a lot of time on the walls. Does a good job cleaning but the soft brush won't get the black algae spots, so pool shock is still needed occasionally. Takes about 3 or 4 hours to charge. Not having to deal with cords is a real plus. Not having to drag out hoses and manually clean the pool is an even bigger plus.
